Help CS noob

Okay a few questions.
is there anywhere i can download cs without having to buy?
and
what is better version 1.6 or source?

1) No, not legally.
2) Either one is fine, it really depends on your system. Both have the same core gameplay with some variations, but if you take a player from either one they'll make the argument that the other is terrible.

If you are going to buy one, try and see if you can find the new CS boxed pack. I think it includes CS/CZ/CSS all together(read the box).

when did this happen
i thougth the new one was anthology 1 with cs cz and deleated

the newest cs box is css with halflife deathmatch and dod source

Edit: dod source = day of defeat source

and anthology 1 and cs cz is the newest one i think or maybe not cuz i got the anthology with cs cz for 20 bucks pretty cheap in my opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's like all you ever need for PFS, I almost quit playing Xbox Live since I got Anthology.
