| Looking for cheap strategy games... Well, I went to Wal-Mart and there are a lot of great titles to choose from. So not only do I want to know what game is great, but if the price is worth it. So:
- Age of Empires + Rise of Rome ($10)
- Age of Empires 2 + Conquerors ($30)
- Age of Mythology + Titans ($30)
- Civilization III ($10)
- Civilization III + Play the World + that other e/p ($30)
- Empire Earth Gold ($20)
- Rise of Nations God ($30)
Other cool games:
- Psychonauts ($30)
- Call of Duty Gold ($30)
- Knights of the Old Republic ($20)
So even $30 is a bit too high...
I'm looking for the game with the most value. I remember lots of great fun with AoE1. I really loved the fact that maps could be randomly generated, which other RTS games don't have. So give me your opinion and a GOOD reason why. I don't want to miss out on these classics. |

| I don't really play games much anymore, but I do remember having a lot of fun with Age of Empires. I don't think the original plays on an NT environment such as XP (I know for a fact that Command and Conquer doesn't), so I would suggest Age of Empires 2.

| AoE 2 + The Conquerers was the ****. That game was so much fun, used to play it more than SC.
But, it is dated now, so, if you're willing to dish out a little more $, go for something like Rise of Nations, which resembles AoE in a few ways, but, i don't know about Empire Earth, I didn't really like it that much. Do some research on them, and compare their strengths to see which appeals to your tastes better is my 2 cents.

| I guess nobody seems to like Civilization III or Empire Earth...
So I guess it comes down to Age of Empires 2 Gold, Age of Mythology Gold or Rise of Nations. Tough choices indeed. |
