Sniping and Crosshairs

What size crosshair do you guys use, and what zoom_sensitivity_ratio/sensitivity do you think is best for sniping?

I'm currently on a small sized crosshair in both CS/CSS, and I'm using a zoom_sensitivity_ratio of 1. My sensitivity is best described as high, but it is 1.4 ingame(I have a fast mouse).

Autosize Transparent Green... gives you the best idea of where your shots are going and you can sorrta see though the crosshairs. In game i have the sensitivity set fairly low cause i have a really touchy mouse

I usually customize the crosshair size to some size between medium and large (I can't remember the size I adjust it to... it's been a while). I like large crosshairs. They work for me. Personal preference, I suppose. The best I had ever done at CS was when they had made the crosshairs large for a week after a patch. Kinda ticked me off that people had to complain about that. I like the crosshair green... any other color just doesn't seem playable to me for some reason. Solid crosshairs, all the way.

Medium-high sensitivity has always been my forte in any FPS, be it on PC or console. I don't know why. Despite contrary belief, I am no more accurate with lower sensitivity--no matter how much time I give myself to adjust to the change. It just doesn't work for me. As for zoom_sensitivity_ratio... I have it set to 1 for CS 1.6 and 1.2 for CS. It works best at default for me in Source for some reason.

1.6: small
css: cl_crosshairscale 1600 (don't think they allow this in cal, so i'm getting used to 1200 again -_-' )

i've always liked high sensitivity, but one day after my old mouse broke i suddenly went from 9.8 to 7.8 sensitivity. it still move decently quick, but i haven't been able to tweak it to where i was before, sometimes it's too quick sometimes not enough.

as for the sniping sensitivity, it's default for me.

i used to use high sensitivity on win2000, it made killing people behind me or someone in the corner of the screen really easy (people thought I was aimbotting a lot since the mouse would move so fast) but aiming was hard with awp or just trying to get someone in the distance.

right now on xp, i have the cpl mousefix, and did some other adjucements and have it at like 2.6, might raise it a bit more for getting 180 degrees.

as for crosshair, right now I'm using medium with lt blue, and no transparency, I may switch to smaller crosshair, but the medium one is pretty good.

I constantly switch from small crosshair to large crosshair, the switch somehow increases my headshot rate.
