| Thats because of actual people playing the game have figured that out. its just a common strategy that people have figured out.
AI when you play by yourself would just jetpack to get to a place to fight and die.
if ur empire, and a lot of people are dark troopers, have a lot of people on your team as soldiers and travel in a pack or like 2 or 3 because with the dark troopers, is it not harder to aim when jetting? and their tri shot is slow, but nonetheless strong, but if a team of fast firing Soldiers can eliminate the rest of the units taking over the other posts?
then that basically leaves JUST the player controlled units trying to take over everything. soldiers pawn in Rhen var: citadel
thats what i do anyway. i know what ur talking about with the cheapass dark troopers. i always choose soldiers because the citadel has some small areas so being able to fire quick is a good thing 'cause as you kill one unit, you can quickly swith to another. i never really worry about darktroopers. they dont scare. droidekas are a WHOLE different story..
i dont really see the game as inbalanced, except maybe for a few missions, like the Rhen var: Harbor- it favors the Empire greatly because of the ATAT and the 2 other speeder things that come with it.
it also favors the CIS in that fight in the cave- a group of Droidekas an easily punch through the cave nd make it to the Republic side- ive seen the AI do this many time just by following them to see what the AI does.
Yavin:Temple is unfair v CIS i think. Crotch, try tis:
choose Yavin:Temple, be republic, be a regular soldier and try to survive inside the temple on the ground for more than 1 minute..
if a droideka occupys the very center area then ur screwed. even if u snipe its not always a 100% counter in that level.
