New Forum Skin - Previews

Hi,

As you know, we're currently working on a new, professional forum and portal design.

Here's what we have so far:

Please feel free to make suggestions. Voice your criticisms now, as it's harder to make changes once it's coded.

At this point, the portal page/forum page are done:

Looks great! Only thing I don't like is the SC2 Units since it is obviously a SC2 theme. I say this because we're not a forum for SC2 we're a forum for Blizzard..which includes SC2. So in that sense..SC2 themed is sort of one-sided. But we used to have the SC:Ghost skin and people loved it. So whatever. I like it overall. =)

Why does it start with S on the left side bar thingy

and sorry to say but that blue bar jus seems out of the place... but I can't really suggest a better colour

Yes, it's a bit one-sided. Eventually, we will have a skin for Diablo and Warcraft as well. But to be honest, it's low on the list of priorities at this point.

I don't like the S either, we're going to scrape that and will probably replace it with a "B" or "BF."

I'll have the designer come up with different color options for the navigation.

I think it looks great..but as you know, I think the blue bar is out of place too. Other than that, I like

I think we should have the blue bar for every main section header
Example: Warcraft (in blue bar form)
warcraft3 forums
WoW forums
Warcraft maps& strategies....etc.
General Forums (in blue)

Do you mean in place of the solid black bar. For example, the one behind "Starcraft 2: News & Announcement Forums"?

The active thread icons will be scrapped. I don't know what you mean by a "power stream", "random machine thingy", and "bluecrap."

I like it, it's pretty damn sweet.

Although, as it's already been mentioned, the blue bar is pretty awkward in color/form.

Can't really say what I don't like about the shape though.

Ok, so far the general consensus is:

• The blue bar on the top has to be changed.
• Active thread icons need to be replaced.
• S icon needs to be replaced.

Anything else?

Instead of B, I was thinking like.. "L"astest poll; "F"orum navigation, or w/e.. etc.. you get my drift

btw will zlots be animated? xD

and its very.. starcraft themed.. will there be diablo/warcraft as well?

i dont like the theme
the news area or whatever is too wide
just looks too normal
