You're forgetting that BF has nearly 100,000 members. Sure, you may be able to speak for 50 or so, but I'm sure tens of thousands of members still game.

Battleforums is still dead and your only change was removing an active section which doing so only caused problems with the members last time.

If battleforums was already dead when we had the Asylum (which many say), then that means that it wasn't doing any good anyway. Yes, removing it may drive away a few members..but we already expect that. Some will welcome change, some won't. Regardless, Battleforums is going in a new direction, and people will have to either accept it..or don't. It's just the way it is. Besides, the Asylum drives in one kind of traffic..and honestly, we don't want that kind of traffic now days anyway.

The removal of the Asylum isn't up for debate (well it is..but this is one thing that won't be changing). It's been deleted..it's gone. It isn't coming back. We'll be bringing in a lot of new content and changes, but for once they won't revolve around the general forums. We're going to be turning BF back into what it was before -- a gaming community. If a handful of people don't like that..then they'll have to find a community that isn't based on gaming.

While I have to agree with you in that just the Blizzard games aren't enough without the massive content that blizzforums has..I still don't see how having a flaming forum makes us any better of a forum when there are so many more choices that make more sense like different games (only if we actually become dedicated to them..which I've NEVER seen.)

The portal (from what I know) will be completely re-designed. It won't be a basic vb portal. It will be useful.

Edit@ jenny: Our most active section was a ****hole filled with irrelevant content to gaming. Max is working on making this forum once again, a GAMING forum, so he removed most of the sections he thought were irrelevant to flaming. You see, leaving the asylum in was leading us to a dead end, just a bunch of us trolling around doing nothing. Now we have somebody who isn't going to put up with yours or anybody else's BS and is going to put new things into this forum.

No it doesn't. It's been around since this was a popular gaming forum when it sourced around gaming and the same traffic came through. Nothing has changed at all except the good prevailed, until now. The Asylum was around when BF was at its peak and it was still the 2nd most active section. Once again, as myself and many others have pointed out last time it was closed is that you guys are avoiding the real problem and the Asylum is not it.

Once again, The Asylum was around since the peak of the forums. It doesn't make us any better, but it doesn't make us any worse. Not to mention it was a pretty historical section. The deletion of us hasn't improved the forum and I see now new members flocking here. I stand by the case it was just to piss of and remove long time members that have kept these forums alive and entertaining, regardless of how ignorant our admins and mods tended to be.

In case you haven't noticed yet jenny, changing a forum takes time, ideas are still on there way and I am confident more members will come. Some people here think that members will just come flocking here after a week....these people obviously don't know how to make a forum.

Roach and Eric have been "doing changes" for over a year now and there's been no improvement. I doubt Eric with a new screen name will make much a diff.

The point is that it made us worse, jenny is just to blind to see that our activity was dropping everyday when the asylum was in. Then when we removed it it shot up, then we put it back again the activity shot up for a little bit and then our forum got worse then before the original closing (to about 50 PPD which is ****ing terrible.)

you pussies were just afraid of the asylum, jenny is the only person with any sense in here, i just dont understand the logic in taking out the forum with the second most activity in hopes of getting more activity...wtf?? and why did you have to go and delete the asylum...you couldn't just archive it?? half of the best things that ever happened to this forum happened in the asylum.

I have a suggestion that might make everyone happy....change the "void" to "asylum" ....no post count, no rules - other than porn or illegal content....and slap a "dont come in here if your a pussy" sticker on it....it will serve both purposes, and you can hide it in some subforum!
