Cd read lag...

so the past couple days i've been running into server lag and if that wasnt annoying enough, i've run into lag cauesd by the game loading from the disk(i have a laptop so the sound is noticible) and after felling say diablo or meph, i dont get any items because i was waiting for sounds to load. Any way to get around this problem?(if the laptop runs wow fine it should have 0 problem with d2)

Re: Cd read lag...

Two solutions.

1. Use the no CD features of this patch.
2. Mount an iso, use that.

Re: Cd read lag...

The no-cd patch is the far superior method. But if for some reason you can't update to it (running mods for example) mount an iso.
