| Can you... Make a hybrid sorc to rush/mf in hell. Only being able to afford uniques and um rune and lower? Thats my current status atm. I havetn attempted rushing but i made a fire/ice sorc. Kills decently but people say u need to be fast in order to hell rush.

| Well I did well with a made from scratch Blizzballer a few months ago, but it wasn't too easy.
I didn't rush though, I did MF runs and traded until I was able to afford items for a better character.

| The thing about speed with Sorc is splash damage, and having a lot of it. I did an old OrbBaller (Frozen Orb + Fireball) and she dished out some good murder. And you can get the syns easy without too much murder to your skill points.
But this was back in 1.10. I think she can still do something in 1.11b. |

With that in mind, you could probably get away with a meteorb sorc with a decent merc. That is 3 different types of damage you're doing, and hopefully you won't run into any fire/cold immune stone skin monsters around. Through the first half of a difficulty, sorcs are faster rushers than hdins, as long as they have infinity mercs.
Save up to buy an infinity, with an infinity, sorcs have a much more equal playing field. I didn't know if I should get an infinity for my sorc's merc, and it was the best investment I ever made.

Stone skin adds 80% Phys resist, and CE FE adds 75% to thier respected elements. The only real threat here is if its MR/CE/FE: Then your sorceress is basically useless. And besides, Hammerdins suck in corridor battles. Since the hammer stops dead when it hits a wall, the only reason its damage is decent is because there are no items that protect you from Magic Damage or Apply Magic Resistance. And the only 2 non-Tristram monsters that are immune to magic still take damage from it (since tbey are both Undead). They are bad MFers as well.

| Most sorcs already have an infinity merc to give them conviction anyways. The only thing you would need to worry about are physical immune + your sorc's type immune that is unbreakable with conviction.
The only monsters that are immune to the hammer's 'special' magic damage are magic immune 'animal' type monsters in act 3. The best thing about hammerdins right now are their ability to uber trist. You can simply spin hammers in a single spot for about a half hour and can get a leecher to level 80~.

| And take no real skill.
Conviction is 1/4 effective against immunities. I have noticed Vampires (The Banished -> Blood Lords) can't have thier cold immune broken easily. I even had a level 15 Conviction and it wasn't enough. |

| Another favorite of mine is the Necromancer or Assassin. The Necromancer is cheap and effective, and the Assassin is different and very fun!

| Now for my next question Which dishes out more damage? Fireball or orb. Synergies maxed? I'm not worried about best to use b cuz of immunities i want to know which has the most raw power.

But although that immunity is not removed, the others suffer (Lightning and Fire), which if high enough, can still spell doom to the target.
This rule also makes Lower Resist not as effective as it seems, especailly since it levels off, and a lot of the undead or poisonous creates are immune to poison, like Mummies and Venom Lords in NM. Quote: |

However, it's radius is tiny.
Orb has only one syn, has a larger radius of damage capability, and its mastery drops cold resistance of enemy, which is calculated after damage is done.
