All questions about mf

I have gootten REALLY tired of searching the forums for answers on mfing questions, so i decided to make this thread for anyone who has questions about magic find.

I have one though....
When people in a game have mf, does it stack? I think not, but im not sure, what i mean is, if you have 50mf and your friend has 100mf, does it combine to 150mf? or does it only do 100 and 50 for each monster you kill?

mf is for you, fool

also incase you are wondering there is no *perfect* mf number

also, mf% works like ED, and such

say an item drops ever 1% of the time
100% mf gives +100% to that items drop rate

therefore that item will drop 2% of the time

the max MF is around 1150, gl getting to it

ty for the answer also..

tecnically, the max mf for all chars BUT the barb is 1157, barbs can carry two 6 isted swords, so that bring thier mf up to 1237 at max.

It might, but I doubt it because if it did people would have said something about it. Also, they stated it has to be in your inventory, not the cubes inventory.

MF charms in your cube do NOT contribute to your MF %

ya and about that max mf = 1150 or w/e, my friend before .10 had everything isted and full inventory of 7mf/20mana sc's. needless to say they were all dupes and his whole inventory was deleted.

Mercs have both YOUR mf and THEIR mf. Hence its better for them to get the kill. However you do not benifit from your merc's MF.

Since merc barbs and norm barbs can hold 2 swords...

What if both you (a barb) and your merc (a barb) had the max mf possible? That would be around 1600 if your merc kills it, now if you had an enchantress and a few pallys for auras...

That would rule.
