Anyone ever done this?

In your early newb days, you were scammed and then you got revenge on people who didn't deserve it with that same scam? I know I sure did. There was this popping scam that involved Akara and a SoJ (That was the catch.) so I dis and got scammed along with another guy. Then me and him scammed people using it and other methods and different NPC's, and we quickly got a lot richer then we would have any other way. I feel sorry for them now, but I was definately an angry newb back then. Anyone else do something similar?

welll,i probably made some people do that.

because back in my prime riches in 09 and early 1.10 i was godly scammer,i made lots and lots of riches scamming, alot more then i did from botting.

though i never scammed friends,i was actually really nice to friends and shared my riches.

but when i was noob i made a frienmd who tried to scam me with the "open this file" and ill drop all my items scam.we became really good friends and made lots and lots scamming.

Ya, I nailed somebody with MSD, but then he decided to help me with further dupe scams and we split the loot.

personally, i like the scam where you upgrade a long war bow or some other normal unique normal item to elite status and then trade it off as an unid windforce or something.

ver handy, although a little on the pricey side in terms of runes.

fun to watch the msgs roll in tho, after people id and find out theyve been scammed.

How does that scam work exactly, muncyhman? You upgrade a unique NM bow to a hellbow, but twhen they idenify it, it changes back? [quote]

No, you upgrade an unid godstrike for instance (so it would become an unid windforce in appearance), and then when they ID it they discover they have a Godstrike Hydra Bow.

even though windys aint worth squat---- the best was the fill your inventory with pots popping scam back in 09---- we would say we found a way to increase ed and ias on weapons and people would actually do it--- that was some funny shit when they would run to grab their little bodys and any of their crap gear was still layin on the ground--- "pleaseeeeee give me my gear back"

I see. That's a pretty mean scam right there. You could do it with Valor, GF, and the other Hell Uniques...Deaths Web, etc.
