What the hell is wrong with b.net?

I needed a regular topaz today so I made a game called "I need a topaz" figuring that if I had a topaz that I didn't need and saw a game called "I need a topaz" I'd be happy to spend a couple seconds of my time to help someone else out. So I waited around in the game for a couple minutes before someone finally came. "u need topaz??" he questioned, "wug??" I didn't understand, "what do you mean? it's just a topaz." We argued back and forth for awhile about the worth of a topaz before I got frustrated and finally asked him what he wanted for his ****ing almighty topaz. I believe my exact words were: "alright, what do you want for your ****ing almighty topaz?" And, of course, I immediately had to go through "but i thought u said its just a topaz~!~!!!!2"..."okay," I explained, "if you're going to force me to trade for a topaz i'll do it" So I showed him all of the runes I had on my mule, basically low runes, from hel and down. Then he had to leave to get his sorceress because that's where he was keeping his topaz. When he got back he made me put all of my runes back into the trade window despite my explanations that I had doubles of a lot of runes. "thats not all of them," he kept saying. Naturally, this story ends with me finally showing him all the runes I was willing to trade for a topaz and him putting into the trade window a chipped topaz which I didn't even need. I said something like "this is ****ing ridiculous" and left.

Am I too generous or something? Would most people force you to trade them for an extra topaz?

No. The whole of Battle.net has been decayed by depression,. teen angst issues, as well as addiction. I remember back when people used to give out small things like that without blowing up on you as if they were on their periods. Sad story.

People on D2 are rich pieces of shit, and you can't count on any of them for an ounce of compasion. How much crap do these people have on mules, and they're finding more every day to start out, but they can't even give away some mf stuff to anybody who wants to get started? I've just started playing again in the last 2-3 weeks and I'm finding it retarded when people wearing top of the line enigma and shit make a game called "Free" and then make lvl 10s duel them for some mid lvl unique that they were probably going to sell to save inv space.

I remember...*back in the day* my first several characters were built off of free stuff. That was before I even had anyone on my friends list too. People just gave me items. Sure they weren't "l337" but it was enough to get me started.

Hmm yes, my original pally was completely off free stuff and he could survive hell cows at lvl 81 (this was in 08). B-Star, etc, nothing amazing, but hey, the best ive gotten for free so far is a bloodletter for my barb.

or you could be like me and just pick up playing every now and then for fun, then get bored over all the bnet fags and just start randomly giving shit away. i got an account right now, not the best, but like, i got an 89 hammerdin with... hoto um shako, seraphs, soj, fcr ring, arach, enigma, hoz, cta, travs, and like 2 ists, a lvl 87 blizz sorc, with just basic mf setup, tals armor, shako, occy, ect. A level 87 fire sorc, pretty much naked. and a lvl 66 javazon rushed through hell, it wears like eth titans and coh. see i dont play anymore and if i found someone who REALLY needed the shit, id give it to em for free, i mean afterall, it is only a game

back in classic when i was uber-rich due to months of mf'n (back in classic, rares gg'd all, so mf'n was your best source of becoming gawdly) i would have so many legit shields/belts/armors (those were the top of the line gawdlies if u had the right mods) i woudl dump out a few mules of common dupes to noobs in normal games to make room...

sadly, i now play xpan, and im poor...would be nice to see someone return the favor one day -.-

I used to give Normal-Hell Uniques I didn't need away to the general pubilic back in 1.09- early 1.10. I figured it may cause some people to do it when they become semi-decent at the game enough to help someone else everty now and then. I was wrong, though.
