changing your ip address

hey how do you change your ip address. I want to know to get rid of this realm down. I have windows and have dsl so if anybody could tell me i will be thankful to them.

reconnect, if it doesnt work, that means you either have a router with dhcp, or your modem had dhcp, turn off either one, and turn it back on.

If you have a plain dsl modem, then you have to just wait. If you have a router or modem/router, then just turn it off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.

Yea, unplug if it doesn't have a power switch, then restart computer afterwards.

if you unplug your cable,wait for like a min then plug it back in it should change ip.

also i forgot but theres a command you can run,and you can manually change your ip,but i forgot the command somone else might know what im talking about and post the comand

There's a DOS command, but it can screw up your internet connection.

Just do it the way I said, though it only works if you've got a router.

Your IP can be changed very easily through a router or if you've got 56k.
