| Duriel is very difficult when using a bow. Try a javellin/spear (you might want to invest a skillpoint in Jab just for Duriel) and be prepared to use lots of potions.

i also agree that other bnet chars in the game will help - unless you want to do it solo
another thing that always helps with duriel is as much fast run/walk as possible. If you're shooting arrows, the faster you can get away and shoot - the better your chances are. |

| Duriel was one of the reasons I stopped playing Diablo II when I got it. that bastard. everyone assumes u play multiplayer, but some ppl like to play solo, no morons to screw u in the end. |

Many thanks cheers for now | Play on B.Net only. You haven't experienced the game yet. You can always play single player on BNet too if you want to.
Another upside is that many areas of the game are randomly generated where as the single player maps don't change.
Also, trading is great.

| Single player maps do change. not everytime u go into it, but they are still randomly generated. Solo is alot harder, cause u cant simply do runs to get anywhere |

| Single Player I agree, with most people Online is the best way to experiance D2, but single player takes more skill that multiplayer (online that is).... I have played single player to death!!! The best character, my pride and joy, is a skelemancer lvl 82 who has finished the whole game... in hell, I also have a lvl 52 socr ... although she has the hardest time in Act 5 nighmare , when It come to Duriel, I have to say I fear him the most... out of all the boses, he really freaks me out. Here is my advice...First of all, I strongly oppose to running when trying to defeat Duriel. As we all know, sometimes one single attack from his side is what it takes to kill you when playing the game at a higher difficulty. There's not very much room to run around in here, and Duriel's cold attack will slow you down quite a bit. The best advice I can offer is to run around as best you can while returning fire and hopefully slowing him down with a cold attack of your own
Sorry if this post sux... never done one before, this post looks long winded compared to others |

| duriel i never have done a high level amazon but javelin ones are strong if you play single player and you wana do a run such as tristrum runs then just type in /players8 and it will set the game to the difficulty as if you were on battlenet with 7 other players. you can also change the 8 a lower number but its not an immediet affect its for monsters not yet faced so becareful with champions gd luck with your duriel |
