CD key Usage? Is it a problem in my case?

Hmm, I used to play LoD about a year ago and then quit. I sold my LoD disk as well along with the D2 disk set. I just bought LoD back again and have a quick question pertaining to CD key usage.

I was planing on borrowing my friend's D2 disk set and downloading it to my computer. Then download the LoD to it. I would never be playing with the D2 CD Key and neither would my friend. We both have seperate LoD CD Keys. Would us downloading the same D2 CD Key stop either of us from playing at the same time?

I really don't think it will, but back in the day with Warcraft 3, this friend did the exact same thing as me as what we are doing with D2 vs. LoD. He ended up having problems with playing at the same time with the friend he borrowed the original W3 disk from.

Thanks for any help.

So if I play on West 1 and he plays on West 2, we are fine. But if we both play on West 1, its impossible?
