Newbie question

My Paladin is currently level 28. (8-Zeal, 8-Charge, 8-Concentrate, 1 to all Prerequisites.) Is he strong enough to defeat Duriel by himself? I'd test this theory out myself, but I'm afraid to lose all my newbie set gear I have if I die. What is the minimal level you need to be to take him out?

You could list gear, and stats. Then maybe we could evaluate better. However I'd say you have a reasonably good chance of killing duriel offhand.

I'm wearing Cleglaw's Brace set (Cleglaws Tooth, Claw, and Pincers), Angelic Raiment and Angelic Halo, Nigelring, Deathguard Sash, Gorefoot, and an Amulet that is +8 to all resistances. My helm sucks too hard to mention. Still think I have a decent shot?

id say dont take the chance and do it with a friend cause if u dont want to lose ur gear then might as well not take the chance and either get a friend to help u or join a game and do it. but if u changed ur mind on the gear then go all out on him

Hmm, you have a decent shot still. Your weapon Isn't all that great, but you have full Clegclaws, so maybe it does a good deal of damage. You might want to bring along potions, just to be safe. I'd say It's worth a shot.

i'd say, also have a look at the d2 strategy sections and look at the guides they posted in there, and then compare

Why would you lose your gear? And if you are talking about hardcore then just get a friend to loot you. If you aren't in hardcore then just take him on, if you die you won't lose your gear.
