Orb sorc

I have seen some orb sorc's run around - and is it me or do they deal alot of dmg, and are they better than a blizz sorc

Pfft. Having an orb sorc that does 1k damage would rape blizzard easy. But, Blizzard = Instant Damage.

If you can hit mephisto (with the last part of the orb where shards come out), with about a 900 damage orb or above, you can basically take 50% off his life in one hit, pwning all blizzard sorcies.

OT: I've killed meph (hell) in 2 hits before, so, Lee, don't try to question me on this.

its a question of preference.

blizz does do more damage, but thats because it has double the synergies. so you have less stat points to invest in other things, like for example, a second element for cold immunes.

orb does less damage, but doesn't require as many skill points, so you could stack warmth, or some other element. its all preference

i think there's something else about HOW the damage is done. like kao said, blizz is instant damage, but if you can aim orb perfectly, it could do just as much.

Oh, and just because you think orb sorcs are newb, you go kill hell meph in 2 blizzards. I would LIKE to see that done, lee.

the thing about orb is that its damage per shard, and for most newer players, or new orb sorc players , its hard for them to get used to it.

i know its not, but its funny to think that way... at least to me... or not... still...

orb sorcs are like hammerdins. anyone can make them, but you need to have played the game long enough to know how to aim properly for maximum damage.

hammerdons definatly take the longest to figure out how to kill with. Orb sorc's arnt for pro's, it just takes longer to get used to then throwing blizz in front/on a bunch of enimies.

Hammerdins aren't that hard to aim with.

Neither are wind druids.

Anyway, both sorc builds are good, but both require +skills to be good.
