Newbie Needs Assistance

Ok, I've started playing Diablo 2 again, It's my first time since the release of 1.10, so i'm pretty clueless on the good builds. I was wondering if anyone could help me with my build? Preferrably a sorc that can give me advice, I want my sorc to be a good MFer, and FO as my primary attack, and perhaps meteor as a secondary? If you could tell me what EQ I should look for, how I should spend my stat and skill points, that'd be wonderful. Maybe we could level some as well.

I cant exactly help you lvl, but I can guve you some useful suggestions.
1. FO is not a good attack anymore, the main kind of sorcs youll see are fire sorc's and cold sorcs.
2. 1.10 added a new touch called "synergies" basically it means that certain skills will provide an extra bonus for others. Example Ice Bolt adds damage to Blizzard, Ice Blast, and I think Glacial and FO. This said your best off maxing Blizzard+its synergies. FO wont get you that far later on.

It will say "(skill name) recieves damage bonus's from"
3. For EQ for mf, I'm not an expert on but ill take a crack at it.
Youll wan't occy,shako,skullders,chancies, p nagels, rhyme, along with toher mf items.

Ok, now I've heard blizzard is very good and I used the skill planner and it does look very nice, it's really changed my build, but I want all of your opinions on which is better, FO, or blizzard? If possible, post some pros and cons too.

blizzard kills most ppl in one hit, but i have encountered a few ppl who stack up resists and absorb to the point where i heal em.

Blizzard = Hard AIM and easily dodged (I guess)

FO = easy aim, hard to dodge, alot of dmg with nice gears.

My opinion: GO GO FO SORC (even if you are poor)

Anyone who says that ahsnt played a blizzard sorc for long. There simillar to hammerdians. I wouldent recomend blizzard in an expert PvP though. Definatly a must though: doing it 100% perfectly can double, if not triple, the dmg you would normally do with FO.
