| okay, im sick of this - OFF TOPIC
OKAY, YOU PEOPLE HAVE TO LOOK FOR THREADS! One week there is 50 threads ALL ABOUT A BOWAZON
then now its ALL ABOUT COLD SORCS
MAKE 1 TOPIC AND THEN STICK WITH IT
(maybe we should make stickies for each class?)

A) No one writes good ones.

| like he said b no one reads them dont waist your time, we incounted this all in 1.09. we had guides for all charecters, and then stupid people cant click a link so they go. Whats a good necro build whats a good druid build. I only could stand one question in 1.09 and that was for a bear because there wasnt a build for them in the stickies. | |

| One way we could reduce so many general questions and encourage more people to use the search button is to divide the forum into subcatagories. IE: Zon Sorc Pally Barb Druid Asn Necro and General. Other forum sites I have seen have this setup and i havent seen any probs there, im not saying we should copy them or nothing but its just a suggestion. TD

| its not going to the void, because people have to learn how to read friggin rules and thread names.
i think we should break it into sub sections, it would be better, and then make a sticky for each one, having builds, and if they have questions they can ask in the forums.
i might make a lightning STRIKE zon build... i find that they work much better then lightning fury in my cases... shes lvl 44 and she can do crazy crap like kill nm cows in full games... but you need to know how to run.

| As far as those guides go, I don't want more guides, I want quality guides. A lot of these guides have obvious errors that I can point out, and I haven't even played the game in ages.
For instance, the hammerdin guide has some real issues with stats and gear, and I don't agree with a lot of the skill placements either.
Djnat's guide is better, however it still has some other problems with it (for instance, you only suggest one gear option, the highlord's wrath DS doesn't really factor in that much, and some other nitpicky details). PM me if you're interested in revising it and I'll give it a much closer look, and we'll see about getting it stickied.
The reason I don't sticky more guides is because I really want them to be good. When I first started moderating the forum, I was horrified to see how many horrible guides were stickied at the top *cough* all of Bam's characters *cough*. Right now, if a newbie were to build those characters, he would probably find out later that he could improve his character by a lot quite easily, just by thinking his character out a bit more. | |
