| Fire vs Electricity? Hi, I've been making a frozen orb sorceress, I maxed mastery, orb, and the bonus skill, now i wonder, which one is better a fire sorc, or electric one? or should i spend the rest of my points on other skills not related to fire/electric attacks. Also please tell which skills would u suggest me to use please.. |

| Personally i like Lightning.
It can kill most of the Super Uniques and does a decent amount of damage. |

| LIghtning, but if you've already built it up this high putting your spare points into something else is kinda wasteful. Lighting w/o its synergies isn't very good, put your spare points into support skills.

| To get really good lit damage you should be maxing lightning all its synergies and light mastery. To do that you'd need 80 points...

| ah, so i guess i will leave lighting out.. at this point the best way would be to go for support skills like shield and warmth or stuff like that and try to get a good merc? or can i still do something with fire? i have problems with the cold inmunes. |

| If you don't have very many skill points, putting points into lightning without having all the synergies/mastery maxed with it will be a waste, you'll probably do 1-1k or so, which is pretty ****ty. With only 24-30 points alloted, it won't be worth it to use fire or lightning. My pure lightning sorc is finally fully built@ 95 using 105 skill points.
Your best bet is doing lightning storm/lightning mastery imo. That way it is just giving you some more damage to add to the damage your frozen orb does, instead of a whole new skill that will probably be pretty weak.

| Lightning does the most un synergied. It is also the most versatile. Ide just pump all your points into lightning, and a few into mastery. |

take a look at d2skills.com
with 1 into charged bolt, 20 into lightning and 9 into mastery (30 points) AND with 15 all/sorc skills, you'll be pumping out a sad 4-3367 damage.
with 1 point into cb, 1 into lightning, 1 into chain, 1 into static (probably should have already), 1 into nova for prereqs. you will end up with the best possible damage with 15 storm and 10 mastery AND with 15 all/sorc skills, giving you 1335-1769.
Now, this may not seem like much, but you will probably never run into a cold AND phys immune monster that will hinder progress. With this in mind, you will be doing an extra 1500~ damage to a random monster all the time.

| Lightning is definitely the way to go currently, but I love fire.
Offtopic, I wish that Nova was still useful.
