Aye does anyone know anything about it? I've heard alot of rumors and whatnot - none of which sound legit. But a blizzard moderator did hint at it having some use but wouldn't say what that was.. any ideas? :banana

It has absolutely no known (and confirmed) uses - some people did dig deep and find nothing.

I think they're exactly like the gem in the chat.

I doubt they do anything, it was funny tho when they first came out. They sold for a lot.

No known purpose, but like what miles and guru said. Something about that chat gem. I heard it just changes color. -.- Useless dam SOH! I used to collect those thinking one day Blizz would make an excellent purpose for them.

I got given one - and I was told it apparently prevents u losing money if u die?

I haven't got a 90 char yet so am yet to see if it works!

anyone know if thats true? I only just learned about how to get it too.

Rumor for sure. The only fact that we do know about this SOH is that it has something to do with the chat gem.

Say what, Epic? I never even hinted that it had something to do with the chat gem. I said that it's like the chat gem in that it does nothing but is supposed to spark conversation/speculation over what it does.

The Standard of heroes...If the standard of heroes is putted and transimuted with a Hellfire torch it opens the last portal... The portal to The REZIARFG An extreme boss who you can't make yourself... No 100% cb smiter can make it by themselves... The Reziarfg should drop something good... and beeing avaliable to drop normal items like Magic, Rares, Runes , Unique ,

The Standard of Heroes increases the effectiveness of the Chat Gem.

1. like everyone else i would like to see dupes eliminated if possible and/ or regular full ruststorms.

2.a new quest in hell.
each act end boss should be able to drop a key :
key of andariel,duriel,meph,diablo and baal.
these keys should have a far lower chance to drop than the present keys used for uber tris.

the transmuting of these 5 new keys in harrogath should open a red portal to the "uber" ancients.
defeat all 3 and u get a small un id charm, that looks like an anni.
as soon as u id it 2 things should happen.

the charm is identified as the "ancients charm of warding" with non variable stats + xx to life,mana,def,res.
this charm will have NO effect in normal gameplay and will only start working when reziarfg randomly appears, this u will know by the message "reziarfg walks the earth" !.
unlike the clone who spawns to the nearest super unique monster, reziarfg can appear anywhere within the game.
reziarfg will be a lot harder then the uber tris trio, for he inhabited the dark places of the world long before the prime evils and has far greater powers.
here he has stayed guarding his prize until you awoke him.
if u kill him he will drop an un identified armour.
go talk to tyreal.
the armour will be revealed as belonging to one of his bretheren, an archangel like himself who was killed by reziarfg.
on their own, the armour and charm are useless to you, but transmuted in the cube will result in a small charm that will give an aura that looks like tyreals wings.

I heard something similar except that you dont lose xp when you die. Rumour too I suppose?

Yeah, completely false. I have about thirty of them and still lose exp/gold on death. Even over level 90.
