Need help with sorc

Ok..i wanna become skilled with light sorc. I allready has one build, im more experienced this time, but i still need some sugestions. How to build skills and how to place points every level. Plz help, my previous light sorc sucked. Also what equipment should i use.

Right depends on your resources
But for items i suggest (if u r not that rich) low sorc torch(10-10 = um around that ) 9 light sks (um each) eschuta (orb get one that has 20% light damage or mb 18 or 19 and 3 sorc skills that could be costly mb ist add) u need low shako (pul) get lidless shield or spirit monarch (but it requires too much str 156 in fact so keep lidless (lem)) magefists or trangoul gloves for fcr could be obtained for free and get waterwalks or sandstorms for boots or natalya boots (free) which have godo 40 frw and nice resistances, best cheap amu would be 3 to lightning skills (really costs nothing) best belt for u will be arachnid ( mal and lvl 80 req) rings can be any but best cheap alternitives are 10% fcr and res or u could get 1 raven frost and 1 dwarf star or if u have resources best ring is soj (2.5 ist) best armor would be CoH but if u cant afford it buy yourself a viper 35 all resi ( um)

Stats
Now get as much str as your items will require so 156 with spirit shield
keep dex base or have as much to get max block or at least decent block
Keep energy base and max the life
Skills
Max lightning max chain lightning max nova max charged bolt 1 teleport 1 energy shield 1 telekinesis 1 static field 1 warmth 1 frozen armor (optional 1 shiver armor) and all the rest goes to lightning mastery (make sure u at least have 1 point here)

ok, thx, but i made lots of changes here...
My build will be no dex, little str, lot vit, and some energy. I heard 1000 times: keep energy base. But thats imposible for me, i have very little mana. I play a long time, but i just dont have items. For some reason i almost never find gloves or boots, my lvl 83 necro has some gloves with 1 effect (lol). Boots are better but still suck.... Well its cuz i stopped playing for a 2 months so all my mule characters erased ahhh... Also im not building nova, cuz its not synergy to nothing

Poor man's gear:

helm: +sorc skill, resists, stat mods, fhr, mana/life, anything you can get.
armor: vipermagi if you're too poor to afford a coh
weapon: any eschuta/occy (get as high of %light and skills as you can on eschuta)
shield: spirit monarch or lidless or troll nest with 3x p diamonds (later 2 are low str)
gloves: if you're low on mana, frostburns. You can use magefists for fcr, or rare/crafteds.
boots: sandstorm treks or waterwalks are a good choice. You can also go with war travs if you plan to mf.
rings: sojs (give tons of mana) or you can go with 10%fcr rings (check the fcr breakpoints to make sure you aren't wasting your time with them).
belt: arachnids mesh, or something that offers the same type of stuff mentioned in helm.
ammy: +3 lightning with any other mods if you can. otherwise just a regular +3.

stats: 156@endgear if you are using the spirit monarch, otherwise, whatever your highest strength required gear might be@end gear
dex: base if you are pvp, although you may want some for mfing, as getting hit alot isn't fun.
vit: as much as possible, if not all
en: base at the beginning, you can always add some points as you go along if you feel you don't have enough.

skills:

20 lightning
20 chain lightning (8% to lightning)
20 lightning mastery (12% to lightning)
x nova
x charged bolt
1 all preq, 1 frozen armor, 1 warmth

x=whatever you want, but you need to put all the remaining points into one of these two, or both. Some people like nova more than cb, or vice versa.

question...why keep dex base for PvP? r there not zons/barbs/melee sins/ melee pallies out there...

Most of the time, it's bad mannered, or at least that is what I've heard. Usually it's cvc, or mvm. If you are only going vs. casters, you don't need any block.

but i mean, in pubs, nobody really cares about being BM..
