OLD SKOOL D2 players?

i used to play back then... and i was a POST WHORE on here hahaha
got the beta for diablo 2, was hooked on it played d2 all the way till LOD came out, played that for awhile even until all the hacked stuff was out, so i played the game for quite some time... i had a couple 99's, mf chars, pvm, pvp (still luv my paly the best =) .. i think the last time i was playing was when sojs weren't worth anything anymore, then i came back to the game after a couple of months and soj's were worth a lot again lol..

so i was thinking about playing again, i checked my account and it's obviously expired already =(, i still had a couple of godly ethereal and reg rares =( but oh well .. so i was thinking to start fresh again =)

question is do any of the old skool player still play? i forgot names from back then the only one i could remember was GARBOT..

how is the game now? is it still all hacked and what not? duped charms, runes, sojs, hacked ethereal items?

it sick being a noob again LOL :nooob

i'm about to go to walmart and pick me up a diablo 2 set! lol, i moved and i don't know where my disc's went lol

Hacks are still around, but very less of them. As for dupes.. not as much as 1.9.

dupeing will always be apart of the game. as for hacked items bout all the hacked item(s) that are left would be WB's and whats left of the old perm 3/20/20's. now days you can buy unnamed wizzies (west of course) for eh imps +10~ sojs imps being 14~. oh and one last thing imps are now being duped again....which means unpermed versions yay ._.''. and thats assuming your west if not ignore me .

The game was ruined by the 1.10 runewords, and pvm being dominated by hammerdins/smiters. Basically Blizzard broke the paladins.

heh...ive been around since 1.0 on d2c....

my prime was in 1.9... had an acct of 99 pvpers with godliest gear around..ITH 915 ww/zerk baba....legit .08 wf zon... bugged zephyr bow zon.. havoc jeweled everything...

i miss those old days.... now, xpac is so unbalanced...zons were nerfed, same as barbs..

i only got into d2x again a few days ago and im building up a pvp lite sorc (lvl 84 now) and since i lost all my past gear and accts due to expiration(GAY), i have nothing. which is why im buying godly gear...instead of mfing for it lol. **** mf, takes too long..

I guess I'm "Old Skool" too. My old favorite char was a white ring barb, dual white rings and white gloves lvl 9 beating the shlt out of lvl 80+'s lol, so fun. *sigh*

are you planning to go classic or xpan? just a warning, classic is nearly dead...been that way for a few years.

also: soj's have gone up and down in value constnatly over the years, never staying the same price for more than about 4-6 months from my experience, right now there wortha bout 3hr's in East Ladder [which is pretty damn expensive]

Heh, and people who weren't complete fools knew how to dupe without a third party program - which you can still do!

Potions were too slow though...click-duping was so much faster. XD

Yeah, but it shows how flawed the Diablo 1 engine really was; where a publically known dupe could be so useful. And it was never even looked at to be fixed.
