Duriel!!!!

Can someone pleeze tell me how i can kill Duriel (the mother of a demon :lucifer in tal rashas tomb) with a level 23 barbarian cause yesterday i shmashed my hed on the table from the anger of defeat every time duriel kicked my ass . So pleeeeeeeeze can someone help, i'm losin my mind here:hbut .

I assume you are playing single player not bnet online. The only thing you can do if so, level up, and use a merc to attack head on while you attack from behind.
If this fails, level up some more, you will eventually get it.
What skills are you using against him? While your at it, what are your stats?

Attack rating 536 and 530

dbl swing 575 and 568

Defense 312

Stam 161

life 192

mana 47

Resistances r:

fire 3
cold 3
lighnin 27
poison 9

and i usually use dbl swing, bash and stun on the ass hole. Also maybe if he was vulnerable to an element or 2 it would help.

Holy balls, i just realised somthing, i have no idea how to raise my resistance levels. Help me pleeze. Do i do it by findin charms or raising my level or buying stuff???????

Raise resistances from armor, ammys, and rings and even some weapons, gloves, boots and diamond socketed shields

Cold resists dont work against him. His cold aura is magical, not likeHoly Freeze.

My suggestion, lvl up to at least 25-30 and put all the points into life, and iron skin. Also grab a Act 2 Combat merc for Might aura, this will add some damage to your attacks. Fill your belt with life or better yet rejuv pots.

As you enter the room make a TP, in case you die. If you do die, go back in repeat, till he is dead.

You certainly need cold res and Cannot be Frozen when you are going against Duriel alone.

Galatia I'll assume that you're just being greek and quote the same thing that Pale did.

Duriel uses an Aura similar to the Paladin's Holy Freeze. While the Aura appears to be a Cold Damage Aura, Cold Damage Resistances and "Cannot Be Frozen" will offer no protection from Duriel's Aura.

So we can definitely tell that cold resists aren't exactly going to do you much good. Simple solution: Build up life and defense equipment just for this one fight.

HC is easy. You just need to avoid all the lag spikes, and noobs that you get in most games.

you could have 95% cold resist, and Can not be Frozen against him, but guess what, you will take the same amount of damage, and be frozen reguardless.

I assume you are playing expansion, gear up the merc and yourself with life leech gear and + to def. Put any veriety of skull in the weapons you use (if possible) this will steal life from him for every hit.

Open a tp as soon as you enter the chamber, (this will save time in the long run if you die) Stand close to Durrel, so does not do his charge attack, and just swing away. If your defense and life are low lvl up some. Use a merc, (get one that has prayer aura or might aura) he will help alot.
Or, you also have the skill bash, this stuns the enemy. USE IT! let the merc do attacks while you stun.

If this does not work still, lvl up some more... their is no mention of you having warcrys .... Do you have any? Battle Orders, Battle Command, Shout, are the only ones you will need, put at least 1 point into them asap.

If this fails, turn off the computer, till you have a editor.

my first character was a barb and he had 2 double axes, socketed w/skulls sapphires and topazes, owned all of act 4 at lvl 22...hehe, exept diablo, damn no life stealing...but that was in non-expansion

My record for beating Diablo legitimately on single player was at level 16 with a Bowazon... Talk about an all-afternoon battle. Thank God I found Hellclap while in the Chaos Sanctuary before I unleashed him.

Hah. I remember my first Druid..ew He couldnt kill Diablo. I took like 2 hours to get him to half way, then I went to bed and left D2 running all night and all of the next day. I went to school the next day and came home to find that there had been a powercut..*cries*
