The Malus hammer in d2

I couldn't figure out where the "monastery" is. Anyone know?

If so, how do I get there?

its in act one, you keep going from black marsh to tamoe highland, then entter outer cloister, and find jail level 1 ( I think thats what its called) and you'll see big ass hammer on your automap.

Are you sure it's jail lvl 1? I can't see a hammer on the automap and I explored all of it.

Just dont do them.....

Ie you don't have to do den of evil, malus etc, for act 1 if you can get the catacombs waypoint from someone. Heres how to skip along nicely.

Act 1 -> Get Catacombs waypoint, Kill Andarial
Act 2 -> Get Horadric Cube (Halls of the Dead), Get Staff (Maggot Lair), Get Viper Amulet (Valley of snakes). Transmute them, to get horadric staff.
Get Arcane Waypoint - Kill Summoner
Take Portal to Canyon of the magi - Kill Duriel
*note you probably want to do radament quest for the extra skill point.
Act 3 -> Get Travincal Waypoint - Kill High Council
Get Durance of Hate Waypoint - Kill Mepheisto
*note if you want the HP potion go kill a little for the jade figurine.
Act 4 -> Get River of Flame Waypoint - Kill Diablo
*note you probably want to kill izzy for another skill point.
Act 5 -> Get Ancients Waypoint - Kill Ancients (If you're level 20 yet)
Get Worldstone Waypoint - Do Baal runs or Kill Baal to go on to next difficulty.
*note Rescue anya for the scroll of resistance quest.

There are some others worth doing but the notes are not required to move on in the game, you can just do the main ones and get to act five or go on to nightmare/hell etc. Most of the games you see people getting "rushes" which is a higher level coming along and running to the main quest locations, creating a tp, you go in get quest and go on to the next act.

You can always go back and do the sidequests at a later date.

The imbue quest can be like amazing for circlets.

I play west and I remember my dumb friend was like oOo I'm gonna imube my white gloves! I talked him out of doing it though

Just curious... I think there is also a level requirement on the imbue quest in normal... anyone remember it? Like my level 6 couldn't get the quest... this was 1.09... not that it matters...
