First, give a point to teleport and warmth before you do anything.
Then you can start to work on maxing out Ice Bolt, Frozen Orb, and Cold Mastery.
When the Cold spells are all maxed out, put 1 on Static Field and Thunder Storm.
Then start working on Lightning Mastery to 20.
After Lightning Mastery is maxed, start to work on Thunder Storm. This should be all of your remaining points from when you max out Lightning Mastery to level 99.
**NOTE** Once Cold Mastery pierces 100% Enemy's Cold Resist, don't use any more points towards Cold Mastery. It would be a waste. Use your own judgement on where to put these extra points. I recommend putting these extra points towards Shiver Armor.

Shield 2: Any 4 socket shield with 4 Eth Rune's. (15x4=60% Mana Regeneration)
This setup is a good median between Magic Find, and +Skills. I find it very effective and useful.
Use weapon switch only when teleporting to save mana. Or just use it when you're safe, but need to regenerate mana.

Hellfire Torch (for sorc)
and about 10 7% Magic Find Small Charm's
Hireling
I prefer a Hell Act 5 Barbarian hireling. For items I like to put:
Armor: Arkaine's Valor
Helm: Vampire Gaze
Weapon: Doombringer
This is a good set up for lot's of life leech, which is ideal for a melee hireling.
