is this a scam?

okay, so i made this game called i rush for forge

and this sorc comes in

and says

so you want forge, and yadda yadda yadda, shes already in act 5,( she doesnt need a rush_

after a while in the convo she says she wants me to email her maphack, and asks do i have maphack (she offers her forge so I would email her the maphack)

i ended up not emailing the maphack and leaving the game, i thot this was strange

does ne one know what that was all about?

Probably was a scam of some sort - or just a plain old virus for the computer. It's a very small chance that it was actually a working maphack. As said above... dont accept files from strangers... or your "friends" unless you have personal background with them [you see them so you can kill them if something goes wrong] lol

uh in the post the poster is SENDING the maphack not RECIEVEING... as far is this goes the other person just was goign to take the maphack and never give you her/his forge so in a way it was a scam but in no way a big deal

Wut the hell? Hows that a scam? Your supose to send him the file.. Hows that strange... Him asking you for maphack..
Edit: You should've scammed him.. lol tell him to give forge first.. then just take off with forge..

nah its not a scam.. if this was recently.. maybe he needed an mh for the new patch so he was asking u? thas all

u ppl fail to notice the password recovery scam and the Report Maphack scam?
"X" is Induhvidal_1 and "XX" is the reciever sorc.
X sends the maphack to XX and Uses that email address to do the following
1)Change the email address of X's account to His/herselfs and does password recovery.
Account stolen with no way to get it back.

When X says "Yes i do have mh" XX screenshots it and emails it to blizzard.
Bam account banned for such and such days or perm'd
