Hello. I have just recently started this mod and have a lv10 amazon so far. I haven't really spent many attribute/skill points yet, because I'm deciding on what my main skills should be. I'd either do a Charged Strike javazon with some skillpoints into Multi Shot just incase of a lightning-immune ; or I'd just to all skillpoints into bow-skills.
Which is better for just starting out and why? The way I see it, bowazons are easier to handle but you have to loot up on arrows. Javazon's are good until you get farther into the game and you have lots of immunes..

Assuming you are playing nezmod, go with a javazon. Javelin Hail is by far the best new skill. It ignore's targets defense is what makes it especially good. In hell, the only immunities that cannot be broken are the damn phase knights and black holes and I think one other one. You can use jh as your main, and then you can use the lightning skill that converts 100% to elemental. Also, with a merc, you should be in good shape.

If you want a bowazon, make sure you get the In Your Crosshairs matriarchal bow. I would use strafe and magic arrow, and perhaps freezing arrow as well. With that, you will have several different types of damage to use.

1 question : Javalin Hail looks pretty weak (first skill put into it , it does 1-2 damage) and there are no bonuses for it. Will it get better? I'm guessing so..

Oh yes...Jav Hail javazons are ridiculously good. Kinda like how Poison Nova necs have **** for skill early on in the development of Poison Nova, but omg the end result is a powerhouse like none other.

Thanks, I started a javazon today on d2 maniacs, and she's lvl 27 already b/c some nice guy got me to act2 and then did 2 Gauntlet runs and let me go in prize room and collect TONS of exp bags and gold

No, I don't want to cheat. And besides I play on an online realm..So it wouldn't work even if I wanted to..

One has elemental powers. The other has pure physical strength.

The choice is up to you.

The amazon is like the perfect character, she is able to do any type of damage if you are a hybrid. Bow: Magic, Physical, Cold, Fire. Jav: Lightning, Poison and Physical.

No matter which build you choose (or a bit of both) make sure that you have tons of leeches. Amazons are not made for pure damage one hitting, but they can. They usually require multiple attacks (but can hit 20 guys at once) in order to kill. I think that my javazon's JH required something like 150 mana per shot. Ohh, another thing is that JH is based on FCR tables (which are naturally ****ty) instead of the normal IAS tables (which are great). Souls like the end-kag booses are great for this, the NM satan soul gives 50ias and 50fcr, as well as other fantasic mods (zeal).

the javazon i made in SP is nice, it was brits old single player javazon, shadowsirenb, and she has titans. i need to up them of coarse or however it is spelled.ANYWAYS! god. here we go..... umm.... i made her a hybrid, i maxed freeze arrow, imo arrow, magic and lite fury.... and still sucks..... kinda disappointed. BUT!, i made her better, i had the technology! i did rebuild it.

my sorc has full saviors set, f'in pwns.

i think i went off topic... but yeah, javazon or summoner. nec summoner

If you do choose just one, especially javazon: Choose a setup where you have a physical skill then an elemental. Lightning fury and JAvelin Hail and Zeal practically make up a good Javazon.

Bowazon: Exploding/Freezing Arrows, Magic Arrows and Strafe.

All syns and passives included. But remember, you just need to put one point in the evades and enough critical strike for 1/3.

I want to thank you guys for your help.
I now have my amazon level 750 (max) on d2maniacs with help from many people. She does like 47k Charged Strike dmg so far and like 9k JH damage. No bows at all.
I also just started a sorc 2 days ago or so and she's like 190 at the moment.
She's all fire and her fireball dmg right now does like 2k because i have no gear except a sword I made, and that does +14 to sorc skills

Maphack is the only thing i've ever kept for more than like....a few days... Since I play on d2maniacs, I haven't seen anybody hack besides maphack..
