Introduction
This small guide is to instruct you on how to get and install NezMod onto your computer. A few things to remember before you venture further however:
-NezMod is a Diablo 2 LoD 1.10 Mod, NOT 1.11.
-Since it's a Mod, theres no B.Net for it, though we do have a server for it.
-It may require you to install 2 copies of Diablo II LoD on your computer.
First Part: If you have 1.11b installed:
In order to install 2 copies of Diablo II, you need to free your program files of the D2 Folder you have currently. So, move it to C/Diablo II (thats my preference), our anywhere out of program files works. That way, when you put in your CD's, it will prompt you to install Diablo II, rather then play it.
Note: If you don't have 1.11b installed, you can ignore the above and just install Diablo II normally.
Then install both regular D2 and LoD (doesn't matter how, make sure its with multiplayer though) and download the 1.10 Diablo II LoD Update Patch from Blizzards FTP, which can be found
here. Download the update for D2 LoD 1.10 and then apply it to your newly installed copy of LoD. Now the patching process is done.
Second Part:
Now to acquire the mod itself. Visit
here! I recommend you using the second download link.
After it's finished, extract the files to your D2 Folder. Now, you should see two folders, one called program files, the other called nezmod 1.10. Inside is a mpq File for NezMod. What you do now is make a folder called 'Backup' and move your current file in your D2 Folder called 'Patch_D2.mpq' into the backup folder. Move the NezMod mpq into your D2 Folder, and rename it to Patch_D2.mpq. Now you're done and you can play NezMod!
