Diablo II Extremely Low Frame Rate

I had recently installed Diablo II again and it has been working fine for the past week and then for some reason on Saturday or somthing like that it's been at a really low frame rate for some reason. It's impossible to play like this.




Suggestions?

Updated video drivers, play in windowed mode, play in the lower resolution size (I think the 800x600 is the bigger one, but not 100% sure).

When you run the game in Direct3D along with other processes in the background, it drops your framerate terribly. 640x480 is the alternative.

Also, maphack slows performance in fullscreen mode.

To run the game in Windows mode:
Simply open up your shortcut, and add this to the Target:

"C:/Program Files/Diablo II/game.exe" -w

I do recommend you run in windows mode. It makes your framerate 60-120 most of the time.

I guess it was the Direct3D fullscreen issue.
