actually, no i don't get it

what you have to do is: find a way to stay in game for 10 hours without being kicked, but also without moving or interacting with npcs or objects (just through simple text messages)

the point is to lose your connection and join the game with the same character.

I'm telling you, for a 100% fact, that when I used zPickit's Antiidle which sends out voice commands every few minutes, I have left it up for over 10 hours and when I came back I could move around without any rollback or loss... though I guess I wouldn't really know for sure if I rolled back, but I know I didn't get c/i

why would it send voice commands? wouldn't it just send the 0x0 packet?

dunno. it just says those random "hello" "this is for you" "time to die" things every 5 minutes or so. Ask zoid why, not me. :P

it looks like smeagle knows a little bit about what he's talking about too... when I sat in game with no antiidle progam I got c/i after about an hour. Ok. So I tried the blocked TP glitch (which I assume involves the little pile of wood? if not, correct me) and it did the same thing. So I tried standing in the INN of act 2 (where atma is) and it did the same thing. I tried the (market?) where Fara and Cain are, and still the same thing - c/i after about an hour of idling. So I think the key now is finding a way so that you can actually IDLE in a game for an hour+ without it giving you c/i, but when you move you get the c/i and roll back. Currently I don't know how to do this. Maybe Smeagle can explain the blocked TP glitch?

you need to download zoid's pickit (zPickit) and when ingame .set antiidle 1
zPickit is a plugin for d2loader, so you will need that also.

I just kinda scanned through this and saw people posting lots of different versions of this. I think this may be patched. It worked for some people and didnt work for others so it probably doesnt have a high % of success. Heres a fairly detailed version of it:

10 hour dupe:

what you need - a way to anti idle (zoids or cerbs) & being able to run 2 d2 windows at once will be very handy.

make a private game and just leave your character. dont move him or ANYTHING. Anything that you do will cause the time to start over. Use either Zoids or Cerbs anti idle and leave it for at least 10 hours.

after 10 hours in the game blizzard will lose track of your character. from here you will want a friend to make a game or if your doing this by yourself, open a second d2 and create another game with any character EXCEPT the one which is currently idling in the game.

Wait in the new game with your second character for 5min+ to perm the game. Once its permed, leave the game and log on with the same char that has been sitting in its own game for 10+ hours.

We are hoping that bnet did lose track of that char and you will beable to join another game. If you can join another game while still idling in a different game with your other d2 then your golden. Drop all your items off the character that WASNT waiting for 10+ hours in the game that you already permed. leave the game and rejoin with a mule or a different char and your done. just go back to the idling char and try to move him/her somewhere and you will get C/I and probably R/D.

it didn't work for me. I anti-idled for 10 hours and 5 minutes.

1. I entered a private game. I didn't move or do anything. I was using zoid's anti-idle which says voice commands every few minutes.
2. c3PO ceeps track of time. at 10:05:00 I start my 2nd instance of d2 (with 2nd cd key).
3. my friend makes a private game with a mule.
4. I log on to my account with my 2nd cd key and I log on to the same character which is idling.
5. I try to enter my friend's game.
6. failed to join.
7. disconnected from battle.net.

waste of 10 hours

yea, thats the problem that most people run into. lots get the fail to join game error but some people were able to join a game. this is probably patched by now. this was released a couple months ago.

hes right for not trying this because its old and most likely patched. therefore would be a waste of time like he said.
