duped jewels in non duped armor

if you put duped jewels in non duped armor will the armor ever dissapear? Basically i wanna know if it would be a wiser to trade for 160/60 armor or trade for 40/15 jewels and put them in my own armor.

Duped jewels will not delete because they do not change item ids.

your armor shouldn't dissaper but if it does just CTRL+ALT+DEL befor you save and close D2 if it does

I think it doesnt dissapear, the jewels become a part of the socketed item, so i think their own ids dissapear, but never the jewel in the item.

The jewels dont delete because the armor is wut they are put in.. once the jewel goes in the armor then the id code just goes to the armor. So just put a bunch of duped jewels in shit.. then go play...
