| the fuking dupescanner really works - never trade bugged...
hi,
i never really believed it though, because it never happened to me, but blizzard's dupescanner really works. i was juts in a game and some other guy also had the buriza armor from europe, he left as fast as the wind, because he probably knew how and that the dupescanner works, i wasnt sure if he really had one, i was just pretty confused and fuked and then i fukin forgot to save the dupe with selling and reselling or open tradewindow and put item in and close it. the armor didnt live any longer than 24 hrs, so im pretty mad, but i cant do nothing against it. so here's the lesson: if you have really good know, wide spread dupes (not jewels, charms, rings, amulets, ears etc..) then you should really use the currently working dupesave methods described above. i just traded the damned armor for 2 conrings, 2 gf and much more and its just away. thing i can say, is that blizz did a pretty good job, didnt believe it up to now. well, this is a lesson for me and im never gonna trade any famous duped or bug items that can be detected. this is the proof that blizzard does at least something against hackers and dupers and dupes at all. and it also has a positive side, i was just about to make up a complete new ama with 0 in pierce and extreme in vit, because dam is already high enough with buri armor, so i wouldnt need any extra dex. ok, thats all i wanted to say, comment and critic is welcome. (dont trade bugged and duped helms, armors, weapons, shields, belts, boots, gloves) im glad i didnt buy it at ebay...

| what would oculus rings be considered? dupes? bugged itmes? i just bought 2 for 8 sojs and im just wondering. what are some dupe save methods?

| ok, here's how the dupescanner works:
If we have 2 players in 1 game at the same time and both have the same item with the same ItemID, then one of those 2 items will be deleted. the other one's item won't be deleted.
Which of them gets deleted?
If Person A leaves game before Player B leaves the game, Player B's dupe will be deleted when he joins the next game. (when Player B is back in channel after that, he will still see the duped item equipped (if it was equiped) but as soon as he enters any game, the item will just be gone).
what can we do against that?
Let's say we enter a game and check what the other players are wearing and we detect that the other player weares the exact same bugged item that you have. This player leaves immediately, and you know, that your item will be deleted if you leave the game. what we now need to do is change the items in-game id. This can be done in 2 different ways:
a) Sell item to NPC and buy it back
--- item may not have sockets
--- item may not be unid
--- npc must have anough space
--- you must have enoug gold to buy it back, depending on item this can be 100k or 500k or even a million gold pieces
b)
1. Open up tradewindow
2. Put your dupe item in your tradescreen
3. Exit tradewindow
[i'm not 100% sure about this one, it may be, that both players have to accept the trade to change the itemID, but i dont think so]
Some other facts:
- Rings
- Amulets
- Jewels
- Charms
- Ith's (or any other non-ith runeword)
- Ears
- Scrools and Tomes
WONT BE DETECTED BY THE DUPESCANNER AND SO THEY WONT BE DELETED
this includes occy ring, wizzy ring, conring, famous dualleech rings, 64ll amy, 40/15s, 290s, 3/20/20s and all stuff like that.

Funny thing is no one in the game had one it just disappeared sometime.

I have a question then... would personalizing help? Like I have a bugged valor and if I was to personalize it would that change the way that Bnet sees it's id and keep it from getting dupescanned? Just a question (and probably a stupid one, but oh well.)

| So far all I seemed to have lost from the dupescanner was a .08 valor and a 40/15 8% wf (it wierd the bow i found myself but the jewel was dupe so it technically shouldn't have poofed) and a 7% wf. The valor I didn't even know dissapeared til i tried trading and I looked for it everywhere but it was gone. You never know though, maybe it just scans every once in a while like for people who are tagged or something. But all i can say is that I am mad at it.
