| How do I distinguis Dupes from legit item?
HI!
I have a question, I wonder if there is a way how to know what is duped and what is legit. I think I read awhile ago u somehow could do it with mh but I dont know how cuze I sux. Could some1 plz explain it here? I bet it would help a lot of people here to know what to trade away before the patch comes.

| method 1: turn on item levels in the maphack config (im pretty sure you can find that yourself). in brackets it wil give you the item level of any item you look at. if the item level is 99 it is guaranteed not legit, either imported or duped with dupeswap or another npc-based dupe method.
method 2: go through dupe lists. there are some good one's out. if you want to know that for trading, you can never be sure thou unless you use
method 3: only trade with friends and/or trusted peoplle you know. avoid channel trades.
oh btw most (not all, maybe 80%, i dunno) unid items are legit, but not all of course. its just that you couldnt dupe unid itemswith dupeswap so thats why.

| isnt the ilvl 5 lvls above the person you found it? So if i was lvl 1 and i found a item the ilvl would be 6, so if someone was lvl 94-99 the ilvl would be 99!, so its not garentee'd to be duped. | |

| the item level is the level of the monster that dropped the item. nilathak is the highest level monster in the game and he's 98, however there are many ilvl 99 items on the realms, theyre duped or imported as i said, i certainly owned some of them myself.
"problem with method 1:

then do the chicken dance and be happy about not owning items duped with dupeswap.

I think using mH to detect duped ain't very reliable. But at least the obvious ones are lvl99 09 wfs,wrings and jewels. Alos, when u look at the lvl of hexes some are 98 and some are 90 etc. They are all mixed up so does that make then legit? Because hexes are obviously duped, hence they aren't so again i must stress that mH is not a very reliable program to check for duped items unless u are talking about 09 wfs. Coz i think its works best on the 09 Wfs. | |
