Wanna Dupe: LISTEN UP!!

Okay there is one way i know of to dupe, it is not that reliable but it works. It has been touched on in other posts, you may think i dunno what i'm talking about coz this is my first post but the truth is i joined just to post this but i will now probably keep posting. I know this dupe works and have got it to work on a number of occasions, it doesn't involve a program but people can feel free to exploit this "BUG" in blizzards operations and create a duping program if they wish, if they do please email me back the program, as a token of the info i provide.

OKAY.

Firstly alot of you may know blizzard keeps a backup copy of the character on the users computer this is in case there is an error on the server and characters are lost, except doesn't matter anyway as the real copy is on the server.
This copy is updated after every 8 or so minutes, after entering and leaving games, trading etc. but not after selling items and maybe not after dropping items (unsure about whether it saves after dropping). If a sudden error occurs on the server side, then you character will load from the hard drive, this error can occur from a game drop, BUT just exiting the game with the old alt-f4 trick is not enough to set the error off on battlenet, You have to turn the computer off at the power (some people may not like doing this). This will cause an error flag on battlenet and load your character from the HD.

NOW.

You can dupe by doing the following. (have a friend in game to keep game open and avoid npc item reset)

First sell items to dupe to npc (Charsi is the best for this)

IMMEADEATELY turn computer off at power

Reload diablo 2 and rejoin game

Go to charsi and buy back items, hopefully the shutdown caused an error on battlenet which caused a load from the HD your items will still be in your inventory and charsi will have them also to buy back

Everybody knows that when you exit a game all the NPCs change wares and the game closes within 30-60 seconds.

You actuall have to crash your character for this to work. Unless you know how to crash your character (I don't know how) this may never work.

When u say crash ur character .. what does this mean?

Turning my computer off at mains... Didnt work
Turning off at switch - didnt work
Crashing Comp. Didnt work

BUT
when u say freez ur char i think i did....
I was in Trade with Npc (charsi) and i couldnt do anything apart from move my mouse. the ring i was going to sell disappeard but didnt show it.... then when i come back into can ( after restarting ) the ring was on my mouse cursor

ok it works this is the way dupe i was not going to say but.... it works 25-30% of the time 4 me but on on a good day it works 60-70% of the time but it works 4 me.

hehe..ull never know the ways of a true duper..what he explained only works like 10 % of the time if u get lucky..lol...i dont gaurentee to try it..

im not saying ur method doesnt work its just a little bit risky...beacuse there is a chance of loseing ur items..and battle .net has all thos automatic save points...but i guess if u are good enough and have a program that inturupts the game before one of those save points ur set...and if u can get in and retreive in time but yet have ut inventory saved b4 the crash so it potentially dupes...but i dont believe there is any one out there who can accomplish dupeing with this method almost every ime but if u have done it and got it to work thats good...and im sorry if i offended u with anyhing i said i was just trying to state that it is a very risky process..so if u have anything else to add plz do..and if u do find a sure dupeing method i think u should keep it to yourself like all the dupers out there who do because if a forsure method reached public sooner or later closed b.net would be just like open and that would take all the fun out of the the game for those such legit players who wanna have fun in a hack fee environment..

The truth is this is not a very good method, i am just telling everyone out there that dupes are possible, i myself have done this, though i do not use this method for your reasons and the fact it is a hassle rebooting my comp, if i did have such a dupe method as you say you do that works 100% of the time, i would keep it a secret for your same reasons, it spoils the game for both legit and hacked players. This method is very unreliable but it is based on the time when the gameis saved to your hd against the save on bnet.
Anyways if any fellow players out there want to inform me of any dupe methods (packets or not), that DO work 100% of the time, i will be more than happy to listen and keep what u tell me a secret.
