This has to do with hacked/ duped on next patch look plz...

Can somone plz tell me what they think on if the hacked items or duped items will be deleted in the new patch 1.10. plz tell me why u think what u think! i want to know this because i have some duped hacked didnt know some of it at the time or i just wanted it cuz its so tight but i curious if i should sell for legit or just keep? so plz tell me what u think

I doubt they will...i mean...theyve known about dupes for so long...and its obvious they can make patches and server scanns already (because ppl get banned for hacks...therefor it proves they can delete things...and seeing how dupe methods get patched about a week after they go public shows they can actually change it w/o dl'n a new patch) so what change it now...if they can...they would have

they can but there is no point because they are making patch where 1.09 chars cant join the 1.10 games so there is no point in deleting them

This is what the patch is really all about.

IMHO The thing is B-net waited too long to do anything about the dupes and hacks stuff.

Right now, hex charms, dupe runes and all the other hacks stuff and dupe stuff is the thing people use for trading. Meaning that removing all hack/dupe stuff right now, a lot of people would whine like hell about it saying "but I traded my legit WF for those hex charms". If b-net had it their way and I repeat their way.....they would love to erase the server and make everyone start from scratch. But we all know what would happened if B-net did that....MAJOR whining and bitching from the public.

Therefore, making the new patch, everyone starts with nothing. No one will have 3 mules fulls of SOJ, hack stuff, dupe stuff, etc. Everyone will be on an even playing field.

But the million dollar question, why would anyone play with the new patch...for the hell of it. B-net has to give everyone some sort of incentive to do so. Add more weapons. new bells and whistle, Every other day...b-net tease everyone with a new screen shot from their web site. Make most people here WANT to play with the new patch, and in return, bring back D2 economy. Everything is just my opinion, but this is what I believe B-Net is hoping for.

go figure...i mean who WOULDN'T want to use the new azurewrath sword. i mean that thing is friggin intense to the 10th degree. the idea of putting in new items is a very good idea on their part and, who knows, maybe the d2 economy WILL go back to normal..........until then, back to playin other games.

As long as there will be a new patch, hackers will always triumph.

Yes, we may have to start at the beginning again, but I don't think that Blizzard will ever do that due to the uproar that it would cause many people to quit.

I am just trying to prepare myself emotionally when map hack doesn't work anymore

In the world of hackers.....there will always be more hackers, meaning that no matter what b-net does....they will always be out numbered......so sooner or later, yes people will hack the new patch.

But with B-net, lets give credit where credit is due. Diablo is their heart and soul software that made then what they are (came out before starcraft and warcraft). With Diablo 1 when it came out in 1996.....internet was not a real popular way to play interactive games....I remember, we only had 28.8k modems back then (33.6 were just starting to come out)......I networked the house with 4 computers to play all these interactive games with my friends, as time passed by....more and more hacks came out...and of coarse as time passed by, faster modem came out and high speed internet were coming popular (I got my cable modem in 1997). So people started to play the game on line. But the real problem started with "town kill" and a lot more major hacks, cheats, char/items editor that killed the game. Bnet learned from this and that is why we have closed b-net reams for D2, to try and prevent these kind of cheats and hacks. (item and char editor)

While yes it is true that b-net can not stop hacks/cheats/dupes...but if b-net acts fast enough, they can contain the situation...like deleting the hack stuff within a few days, therefore, it can not become part of the trade economy. Getting rid of dupes as soon as possible.

Everything is just my opinion.

Blizzard continuously says that they are doing everything they can right now to end hacking and dupes. So unless they have a major brain storm, or have already tagged all the accounts, you dont have much to worry about. I think for the most part they are focusing on making their new ladder mode hack free.

one may only hope.......if so i wouldn't mind being able to play hack-free...most of the items in the game r good enuff to kill with, i dont even know y someone had to make all that hacked crap (as tempting as it is to own though)

I THINK............they should make a new realm for the new patch and then it would just be like making everyone start over and noone could bitch at them cas it is there own choice to choose to play the new realm
