Mfbot/account banning etc question

So a friend mine is running a mf bot on his account. He has only one char on this account. But he also uses the same cd-key to play with his regular character with diff account name.
The question is if he gets banned for the mf bot will his other account get banned too cuz it uses the same cd-key as the bot? or Bliz just bans the bot account?

It all depends on what kinda ban they do.
They usually lock your account and ban your Cd key.
So, he would still be able to use the other account. After he bought a new Cd Key.

under normal circumstances this is what they do:

ban either your account AND cd key, or just account.


if your account is the onlyt hing banned, your main account[other accounts] will be fine.

but if they ban both your key and account, they will ban every account linked to that cd key [normal use, not just once in a blue moon logins]
