Currency!

What diablo 3 needs is currency. That's what gold is for.. the only problem is that the way d2 is made it would be hard to make a working currency system if d3 is anything like it. So I guess what im getting at is..

How would you implement a currency system? (that isn't based on luck or MF.. something that, with enough play time, anybody can become mildly wealthy.)

yea d2 really misses a good currency, it was good a while back in early 0.9 when soj where the currrncy.
