i think d3 chars should be demi-godly! uve defeated the prime evils and u have been granted the gateway to heaven. uve ascended to superior beings and fight evil as champions of the Light. of course...to balance the game out, monsters would have to be as strong as 10 diablos each...

with that...comes demi-godly items! whats elite now will be feeble compared to the worst items in d3. uh...God's Hand unique gloves or sumthing...

hehe...crazy idea yes...its my first time posting in D3 forum...

maybe they could b godly, maybe u can chose an arch-angel. and i also got something to say about the bards, r they suppose to b in mideval times, in my head, they look like punk rockers 2 me...

n/o but your making it so the game is a better version of Baldurs Gate 2. Forget a diablo 3 you will hafta pay a stupid fee like all the new blizz games...Keep patching and stuff but maybe 1 or 2 new chars not like 7

This is kind of a shift in topic, but I'd kind of like to see Blizz charge a monthly access fee for Battle.net.

It's not that I like spending money. It's not that I don't like free stuff. The problem is that when a game starts to get a little old, and sales drop, Blizz pulls most of the support and development off of the game. Wonder why 1.10 is taking so long? Because the dev team on it is so small... Blizz can't afford to have a big expensive programming team working on a game that is way past its prime (as far as sales go).

Contrast that with MMORPGs like everquest, etc, where they are pay-to-play. They are constantly being updated, There are mini-patches for updated content just about every time you connect. They are a big cash cow for the game companies, and the developers have a vested interest in supporting and improving the game - to keep subscriptions. If they let the game wane, they lose money.

A good way to do it would be to have like a $5 / month Battle.net access fee. That's about half the cost of your average MMORPG game, and would allow unlimited access to Battle.net, and all the games it supports. I'd gladly pay that in order to have better support, more frequent patches, etc.

that sounds very valid but i don't like the idea paying for something like that but if that helps in making the game better with patches and stuff i'll actually consider paying cuz diablo is a very good game in my opinion.....don't mind that i aint play it in a while...

Most games are well supported for the first several months after they come out, but then the support / patches slows down, trickles off, and disappears... cause there's no profit in it for the company. This is why games die off.

I just think this would be a good way to keep funding to the games so that they can continue to be patched for bugs / hacks / exploits, and even for adding new content.

Diablo is not D&D. It's fantasty yes, but then so are a lot of things. If you want D&D, go play Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights.

yeah i understand what you mean i would like to see d2updating on a regular basis also

Yeah, just think if they put out a new act every six months... or one new quest per month (partial act).

There would be ten acts by now... Even if they just released one act per year, there would be seven now.
