Diablo 3 < Diablo 1 + 2

I've read some threads about this topic wether Diablo 3 is going to released, I really doubt even if it is going to be released it won't be close to Diablo 1 or 2.

First off, Blizzard North created the Diablo Universe, and no Blizzard North is not Blizzard, its the branch of Blizzard for Diablo. And if you don't know already, Blizzard North was disbanded in 2004, the Diablo makers are currently divided into 7 different companies.

Secondly, if Blizzard decides to create Diablo 3, they either:
A) Hire back the original employees of Blizzard North

or

B) Create a whole different team and hand the reigns of Diablo to them

Honestly, after the big conflict between Blizzard North and Blizzard and the disband of Blizzard North, I think that they would be very agitated for Blizzard to hire them back again.

As for the 'newbie team' Blizzard is hiring, I think we can all agree that NO ONE can match up to the designing skills of the original creators

So if Diablo 3 were to be made, and not from Blizzard North, it won't be as great as Diablo 1 and 2

Also as a general rule, a trilogy goes like this.

First is revolutionary, second is either slightly better or a lot worst.

Third is absolute garage.

For an example everyone knows.

TMNT 1 was amazing, and had a great impact on the youth.

TMNT 2 was a lot worst than the original.

TMNT 3 was absolute garbage and made me weep tears of blood for the future of mankind.

Diablo 3 will probably follow the same general pattern as the TMNT, unfortunately. All other Blizzard series seem to.

the only game that has seen 3+ games made is WC, and WC3 = uber popupular among fans, then WOW is rated #1 best selling game for years now (some can say it sucks, but numbers dont lie regardless)

Blizzard north is in every way a part of Blizzard, but instead of the office being inside Blizzard irving, it was located in its own area, Blizzard inc. allowed them to do this because they felt they could produce the best quality stayin gwhere they were comfortible, and was allowed to do so.

They still had to report to Blizzard irving regularly, had to get approval from the higher ups, and were basically told "this is what we want, make it" just like any other creating team (speculation says that might be why they left, not enough creative freedom)

even if a new team of developers is created (and yes, there is.) they still have the same bosses to report to, the same people deciding how the game should be, and the same people basically telling them what to create. Of corse it will probably feel a tad different due to the new team, but its more than likely still goign to have that diablo feel.

Blizzard will not be hiring back the original developers, why? because the reason they left is they wanted to talk to the higher ups (as i mentioned before, the people who choose whats what in the company) and as a form of trying to create a direct talk with them, offered there resignations if they were not allowed to talk, and the higher ups accepted them instead of having a sit down to discuss things. (this story has been told by the ex-blizz staff over interviews multiple times)


and as for the TMNT series...i wish i could argue it but i cant

Actually, WoW is incredibly unpopular among the original War3 player base but instead draws it's numbers from the MMORPG going crowd

BTW: I didn't mean to rip on the ninja turtles if you saw it like that. I, too, am an ol' ninja turtle fan from back when. The tv series was awesome, the action figures: Awesome. But the 2nd and 3rd movies were just sad.

i never said they were the same crowd, just that numbers dont lie, and it is a hugely popular game, and that WC3 is also a very successful one in the franchise as well (was pointing out WC is the only series by blizz to see past the second title, and with good success)

as for cheeze: all you have to do is find interviews with the ex blizz employees, they themselves say it. if your not refering to the interviews i talked about, then wtf doesnt make sence? that the developing teams have bosses to report to? or what? stop trolling for stupid replies.

if you really want to find them, MedevalDragon from blizzplanet.com has had numerous interviews with Blizzard staff, and if you just dig around on google you can find about 10+ interviews with the old blizz staff saying exactly what i said here.

I must disagree with Laharl on TMNT 2. That movie was pretty ok. The 3rd one though could have been done a lot better, but some people who just watch movies for the heck of it wouldnt find a problem.

Diablo 3 will depend on how much resources they pump into it and how it will be done. If its an MMO, then although it could be crappy, people will most likely play it as much as WoW does.

You have no proof of that claim Cheeze, and until you do, I am considering this as an act of trolling against Dragn. Sorry, but you said the same thing before about you were friends with Crooked. Then when I asked him, he said he doesnt even know you who are.

Dragn has agreed to not say anything negative to you, if you stop saying things to him that will provoke him in any form. Part of posting outside Chit Chat is to not to get others mad.
