| Old arcade games (MAME emulator) What are some of your favorite old arcade games?
My dad always used to talk about playing a game called Black Tiger when I was a kid, so it was kind of exciting to finally get to play it on the MAME emulator. It's kind of addicting, suprising fun and sophisticated for a game as old as it is.
I think my favorite though is Karnov. It stars a fat Russian looking guy who runs around shooting balls of fire out of his chin. It's extremely hard, but it's a blast when you get it down.

| Would the original Marvel Vs Capcom count here? I used to play that tons at my local arcade. If not that, then Area 15 and Cruisin' USA was one of my favorite racing games for the arcade. The rest could kiss my ass. |

| Well, Golden Axe, but who didn't play that in the arcade? It's just pure classic.
I played some old Atari games at the arcades, especially Space Invaders and Ms. Pac-Man. There was also a game similar to DigDug, if anyone's ever played that. Fun, but repetitive to the point that you might end up quitting before you die.

| MVC was terrible. The arcade hasn't improved much when you see DDR.. (shudder)
Though there were several games like Hosue of the dead that were good in hte arcade. Cruis'n USa was a good game, as was SW pod racer. With the exception of the pod racer, all those games should have stayed in the arcade instead of ruining consoles. |

| Spectrum ZX games. A lot of them. Can't recall the games, though. But those are old, older than Street Fighter or Marvel vs Capcom |

| i used to [and still do when i run into them] play Area51 [i knew the kron hunter mode trick, and when i woudl do it the half the time the guy running the shop woudl see it and be like "o shit its broke"], Golden Axe series [loved playing this.] and iremember as a kid i use to play this game at the local Krogers.... i cant remember whta itw as called
all i remember is that when yoyu would die, it would go to a little show where your [i believe your a ninja] tied down toa convayor belt and its moving up torwards a sawblade, and if you masehd the buttons youd get 1 retry, the next time, youd be sliced.
anyone remember what that was called?
