Comments on Gamecube Games

I'm thinking of buying a game from a list I made a while ago:

- Zelda: Wind Waker (tricky, yet immersive)
- Metroid Prime 2 (not sure if I want to get this or MP1 first)
- X-Men Legends (4 player co-op)
- Alien Hominid (alien metal slug)
- Eternal Darkness (deep, dark, unique, intense)
- Fight Night: Round 2 (getting this f'sure, after watching Cinderella Man)
- NFL Blitz 20-03 (4 player action)
- Mario Party 6 (4 player games)
- Mortal Kombat: Deception (we play Soul Calibur II, but this could be another good fighting game)
- WWE: Day of Reckoning (I heard this game was the best wrasslin game on the cube)
- Paper Mario 2 (has good character development.

I leave my cube at my friends house, and he often has MANY friends over, ranging from friends our age to little kids. I want a good mix of hardcore and casual games. So if anyone has any experience with any of these games, please tell me which is worth buying.

If you are getting Metroid Prime 2, you must get Metroid Prime to fully understand the story. Retro Studios did some excellent story tie-ins, and you really can't get the full experiance without both.

I love Legend of Zelda games and RPGs, and you just named two awesome games (one from each category). Takt of the Wind (aka: Wind Waker) and Mario Party 2 are excellent games. Neither disappointed me. However...it's difficult to say that any GameCube collection is complete without, at least, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Mario Kart: Double Dash!! The former giving you an awesome four-player slugfest, and the later giving you a great sixteen-player game (after LAN hookups of course).

I must admit that I'm quite adicted to Final Fantasy: Chrystal Chronicles. As a four-player game, it has a good mix of challenge and cooperation. You'll just have to make sure that your friends have GBAs or GBA-SPs and that there are four GC-GBA hook-up cables. Soul Caliber II is great, and it has the exclusive character Link ^_^

There are just a great number of games I can name, but I'm not exactly sure what kind of games you are into. I know that Mario Party 2 had me laughing hard enough to actually immediately find a save point and turn off my system I like the Legend of Zelda Collectors Edition, as well. All five console, NES through N64, games on one disc, with an included preview of Takt of the Wind, is an awesome buy...even if EBGames sells it for around $45. I got it for free through Nintendo Power ^_^;

I'm not sure when playing video games with little kids has ever been intresting nor appealing to youth, but, the only game I could think of that I have that is two player would be.

Sonic Adventure Battle; great game with 2 player mode, and only twenty bucks

That list remidnds me. dat of reckoning 2 is going to be coming out. DOR was much better than Wrestlemania 21 on xbox.

Zelda game on cube was interesting, and incredibly fun but lacked a sort of "zelda" quality. much like the minish cap.

It is arguable that metroid prime 1 is hte best game on the cube, with Metroid prime 2 not that much worse than the first.
Nintendo really is good at innovation and "fun" games.

Well I ended up getting:

1. Zelda: Four Swords Adventures
2. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
3. Zelda: Wind Waker
4. Metroid Prime

all for $70. They are all used games however. Was it a good deal, or was I ripped off?

Sounds like a good deal to me, Wind Waker was amaingly awesome, and I just recently completed paper Mario 2, it had a lot better storyline than I had ever thought it could.

You're gunna be disappointed in FF:CC, unless you got 4 GBA's along with 4 friends that are into that.

Well, my friends have 2 GBA's and I just got 2 GC/GBA cables... I could get another gba/gc cable for 3 bucks and a used gba for 30 bucks...

And it would work not just for FF:CC, but for Zelda:4S =D

I found that to be a stupid feature. I had made a good Clevat character too .
