About the power button on the Nintendo DS

I went to EB Games today. I saw the Nintendo DS out so I decided to go 'touch' it.

My question is: Is the power button for the Nintendo DS really located just above the D-Pad? I remember when I use to have regular GameBoy and I use to always accidentally turn off the GameBoy because I rubbed it against my couch. If they were to have the power button above the D-pad, they should have it where you need to hold the button for a few seconds before it turns off.
Today was my first time 'touching' a Nintendo DS. I don't plan on getting one. I'm just wondering.

the power button is located above the d-pad, but trust me its far enough up that it is not a bother. Plus a single tap does not turn off power. you must hold it down for a moment for it to turn off
