Kill a ghost in one hit

While looking for skulls i discovered this about ghosts. They have a circular gas tank on the left side behind the wing and u shoot it and BAM instant blow up. With a shotgoun its 1 shot with a pistol 3 and with a ghost just a couple shots from its gun and its done.

actually no i dont go looking for stuff like this. its not to hard to figure out stuff like this if u actually look into the game and try to find glitchs and eggs(skulls). and then after i found this out i went and did a seacrh for it and that is were i confirmed my findings i did my test with the shotgun and the pistol info was gathered from a website.

or u can shoot them twice with a shotgun and they die givin u a ghost

It takes 2 shots from the BR to blow up the tank, thats a pretty neat technique, i've tried it but I died because i was head to head with the ghost but if your at midrange that works pretty well, i guess a sniper can just take that ghost out quickly but its more stylish just go head shot the rider off

What about Banshees?
everytime i fight a ghost im on one. (im still on regular Halo)
more worried about banshees the ghosts. besides a rocket launcher is there an easy way o kill them? i know they arent that srong, like a full clip of the assault rifle will go but is there a 1-hit kill?

in halo2 their are tanks to kill with normal wepons

Why not just stick a plasma granade to the Ghost or hijack it.
