| i agree with Velvet..(finally someone else who agrees!). yeah even my friend whos like hardcore Halo, didnt really like the second one. he said it was almost the same as the first some new weapons..thats it. | |

| OMG! TWO PEOPLE HERE ALSO AGREE WITH ME!!!!
I've been argueing for a while at my school about why HL2 is better then Halo 2...
1. HL2 was in production for...6 years or so
2. Halo 2 requires fee for interent play. HL2 requires no extra fees
3. The concept of Halo 2 is not original. Aliens have been invading earth since the 80's with Space Invaders.... HL's aliens were brought to Earth through an exparimen gone wrong. And in HL2, you see few aliens!
4. In one of the ads for Halo 2, they experience a little...video lag... just what I like to advritise =)
But over all, Halo 2 was a waste. Lots of people have complained that its single player did not live up to Halo's single player legacy. Oh, and HL2 has an actual physis engine!!! Try that on Halo 2! Didn't think you could pick up that table and throw it a people's heads!

People are just picky. Unless you're that much of a die hard Halo 2 fan* you shouldn't really be that upset with the game. The game isn't that bad. The reason Halo got so much craze was because it was one of the first of its kind. A gory futuristic fps console game that revolutionized the industry. Halo 2 was the same thing. Only people had been so used to Halo that they expected Halo 2 to be a totally different game. Halo 2 had the same concept. No shit. What do you expect them to do? Make a brand new fresh game no one had ever seen before? A console game can only be so much.
*in which case you should go kill yourself right now.
Oh and btw guys this isn't the asylum so don't troll or flame.

Half-Life was revolutionary. Half-Life 2 is revolutionary. Hell, even crappy Doom 3 was revolutionary. But do I see other companies wanting to use the Halo 2 engine for their games? no. therefore, its not as revolutionary as everyone thinks.

| im sorry if you think the game sucks and over a hundred magazine and internet video game reviewers think your wrong.
im reporting this thread, there is no good reason other than it has halo2 in the title and body of this thread. There is nothing that has exploration tips, multiplayer memoria, etc., i dont think that a game that has a 10 on just about every major magazine and internet site sucks. Sorry, get over it and stfu
also,
have you played halo multiplayer? thats a revolution right there, the most addicted at an fps multiplayer i have ever been has been on halo and halo2, and i have played them all, doom, doom2, doom3, quake, quake 2, quake arena, UT, UT 2k3, demo of UT 2k4, HL, CS, tribes, etc.
