My take on the consoles

Alright, so I have 500 bucks in the bank and it's time for me to set foot on a new platform.

In the past, I've followed Nintendo: Nintendo, N64, gamecube, gameboy, gameboy color and game boy advance and DS

But I always found myself on the computer.

When I think of the Wii, I think it's unique and all, but so was the bongos for my donkey konga game. Or the microphone for Odama. It's fun, but in terms of depth, it's questionable.

What I'm looking for is online capability and Nintendo delivers a sad friend code system here.

So that's why I've considered the PS3 and 360. PS3 is great in that the online system is free. There's no hassle to get your moneys worth.

However, 50 bucks a year is no big deal.

And for the online games:

PS3:
Warhawk
Resistance
Motorstorm

360:
Chrome Hounds
Halo 3
(Soon to be Virtua Fighter 5)

That's all that interests me right now. Sports games I wouldn't touch with anything.

Halo and Resistance. Both FPS games. My friend always bugs me to play Halo 2 with him and he pretty much owns me and anyone else everytime. I don't find this fun. I'm thinking about the same way for these two games, at least for same-screen multiplayer.

Motorstorm seems cool, but it's only singleplayer or online. No shared splitscreen.

Chrome Hounds is actually what I'm craving. It seems slow, but customizability is going to be freaking awesome. I love strategy games so I like how I can choose what I'm going to kill stuff as.

Warhawk... this is the PS3 killer app at least for me. It's like battlefield in that you can get all these vehicles or you can go in foot. It can handle only 32 people I suppose.

And Virtua Fighter 5. I love Soul Calibur, so maybe I'll get into this. A problem with fighting games is if you have nobody to play with, they are dead.

For my hype meter on these games:

1. Chrome Hounds
2. Warhawk
3. Virtua Fighter 5
4. Motorstorm
5. Halo 3
6. Resistance.

I guess I'm probably suited to the 360. But can one really justify 500 bucks for 3 games?

360 is a lot better, more fun, and they have LOADS of games for it.

if you want a console that delivers entirely with a bunch of great games and great online accessibility, get a 360

if you want a cheaper form of a blu-ray player, get a ps3.

call me old fashion but i haven't played a game worth a **** since nintendo 64, plus games dont cost 100 bucks

true, but isnt that what emulation is for ,

360, is the best.... BUT...... mine just went red circle .

Wii wins, but if you're only looking at those two of course you go with Microsoft's product.

My cousin had problems with his Xbox 360 and sent it back to Microsoft and got a new one. No questions asked. He broke the it the 2nd time and sent it in and still got a new one back. And when I say got it back, it wasn't like he had to wait. He got a new one within days.

360 hands down. I have been a nintendo guy for YEARS and I think the wii just doesn't deliver like the 360 does.

Both systems have the same abilities. 360 has better graphics in a side by side comparison. Ps3 doesnèt have the exclusives that make you want to trade in a 360 for it. Wii has one good game, and it comes with it (unless you are looking to spend money to download games you can get as roms on the computer).

The only option I see is simply get an upgrade for your computer. I play 360 games on my Pc and they run better than they do on the 360.

P.S. The Ps3 online hype is a bunch of bull****. Players can barely play games, cant find friends and the system is broken. At least Live is stable, but that is also a money waster in itself.

If you want a console that have lots of games then you should go and buy Xbox 360 but if you want a cheaper one then buy Ps3. But Ps3 is short of games.

Well the Wii has Mario Galaxy as well, which apparently is ****ing killer.

I'd go with wii. Cheaper system, motion censors, $5 to browse the internet(for the channel, 1-time fee) Constantly releasing Virtual console(old-school games, as you've mentioned.), And don't forget Brawl = Feb 12 08 and Galaxy is already out

Ah, went with a 360, if only because of games like Bioshock and Xbox Live.

So I got the pack with 2 free games:
Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance

Then I picked up Chrome Hounds... which is slow

Then I got Bioshock and a few days after CALL OF DUTY 4

And as of now, CoD4 is my most played game. It's amazing in the campaign mode and the multiplayer as well.

PS3, the only thing that really interests me is Warhawk. But it has lots of other features like built-in wi-fi and a blu-ray player. I'm not really a fan of RPGs or MGS so... it's okay.

Wii... I love how anyone can get into it, but it really lacks on the online department. And it doesn't have really thick games like Forza 2 or Bioshock.

The graphics are better but where are the games? When they are coming ? Anybody knows something about it... Do tell me then .
