What the **** does vanish/vanishga do?

i think its like a instant death thing. The chances are low. I still havn't been able to succesfully cast it yet. it sux

Vanish... turns a character invisible.

But the effects afterwards I can't tell. It sounds like it would prevent enemy's from attacking you but they still do even if ur fleeing/

Vanish and Vanishga turn a characters or area of characters (friendly) invisible for a finite period of time. It prevents enemies from detecting you. When you flee, enemies will follow and attempt to attack. It may not be possible to cast the Vanish series without being hit and it canceling. It's a good way to sneak up on enemies, but that's about it. It helps when you are going after bounties.

EDIT: Also. Attacking will cancel the effects of Vanish.

SO- turn gambits OFF, right? Because an action (including fleeing) will basically turn the vanish off. Gotcha.

My gambits allways stay on so I thought running was ok. Thanks. I've been trying to figure that out for a while.

I'm sorry. I stated that wrong. If you make any action that isn't movement, the Vanish series is dispelled. You can walk around and even Flee as long as an action isn't taken. I was commenting that enemies can still follow and attack if you are Fleeing. The only real way to ensure the Vanish series works is to keep Gambits off so your characters don't take actions that dispel the effect.

The long winded explanation is to say that interesting stratagems can be taken advantage of. The Vanish series is especially effective against bounties but loses its edge against bosses (because of the need to turn off Gambits and make no actions else dispel it).
