My god this game looks really awesome. Note, all these screens are in-game, and are NOT cinematics.
I hope this game ends up being better/longer than Fable. If I had a 360, I would never leave my room. Almost everything about that game seems perfect.

| My plan was to get a 360 for this game, but I think I've decided to get it for PC instead. (I'm hoping against hope my computer can run it.) It should destroy Fable, though that was a decent game, too.
It's going to be incredible. Morrowind was one of my favorite games ever.

| I haven't played any of the other games. Fable was good and all, but too easy. The bosses weren't nothing, and Balverines were a peice of cake.
Too bad I don't have 400+ to spend on a 360, then another 50 to actually buy the game. *sigh*
I need a job.

| Of course this'll be longer than fable, haven't you played an Elder scrolls game before?
This game will totally own. I'm getting it for the PC :loopy |

| Morrowind was fun for a while, but it was far too buggy. Plus, people kept overwriting my characters, and the games' beginning sequence--that is, everything you must do before you can really explore--was horribly tedious to do more than once or twice. I'd get a 360 for this game alone if I had the money, though.
One question... anyone ever play Elder Scrolls I or II? |

| I didn't really care for Morrowind because the game was almost TOO open ended. I didn't even know what to do to progress the story, not to mention the story wasn't my thing anyway. I might check it out on PC.

| Yeah this is like the only game worth buying an Xbox 360 for so far. I will probably go with the revolution anyways.

After 75 hours or so of play, I eventually got completely lost and had no clue how to progress the story. Even so, I had a blast for a long time just stealing things and exploring, not to mention pimping out my crib with all the books and goodies. xD
I think it says a lot about Morrowind that it was my 3rd favorite single-player Xbox RPG (behind KotOR I/II, of course), even though I never actually got to a high level or beat it. >_>
From everything I have seen and read, it looks like they fixed the two biggest problems: Traveling and Fighting. Running for miles and miles just to get somewhere got reaaaaally old, and the same lame stab and slashing with the sword was rough. It looks as though they've probably fixed this (the melee fighting for sure). The graphics will be awesome as hell.
Have they released the required computer specs to be able to play this yet?

| 128MB video? Now that's bare minimum. 512MB would be required for anything above the most basic graphics, I'd imagine. |

| I've read coverage of this in three different magazines; it's shaping up to be an incredible game, although it will cost $60 for the 360, not $50, Pains Requiem.
The boring traveling has been fixed with a new system that allows you to travel instantly between major towns you have visited, and you can get a horse to greatly increase speed. The combat system has been totally revamped as well.
The guild system seems to show a lot of promise, as seen in two of my mags' trials of the game. Quote: |

If you find yourself in the clink, you can sleep out your sentence, but take care as you lost a random skill point as penance (not to mention having to return any stolen loot). And that's where we found ourselves - but soon after getting released, we recieved invitation to the Thieves' Guild. The invite instructed us to report to a small garden located in a seedy shantytown just outdise of the city at midnight. When we showed up, we found ourselves in similar company with two other guild applicants. Along with them, we go our membership requirement - break into a man's house, steal his diary, avoiding killing anyone, and return to the Guild. To show you how totally free-form and open-world Oblivion is, we were one-upped in our Thieves' Guild quest by a cocky elfin woman. But not for long; we pick-pocketed the diary as she made her way out the door. And there are even more ways to approach the same task - we could've paralyzed our opponents if we had a magic-based character with the right spell, for instance. | Also, it seems like there's going to be a great voice-acting team. Can you tell I'm hyped about this game?

Daggerfall, the second game, was revolutionary. The things you could do in this were amazing: creation of your own spells, random dungeons/quests, guild advancement, ect... But the game suffered from the largest pack of bugs ever, and the game was HUGE, about 70,000 towns/cities to go to. Most towns were really small but still it was too big.
But they all gotten better as the came out.

| I wonder if I'll be able to play it smoothly... ?
My specs:
Pentium 4 3.0GHz
512MB RAM
GeForce 6600 128MB
I'm assuming I would be able to play it, but not on the highest settings. Probably somewhere in the middle... ?

| morrowind...**** me.
i had my best game going thus far. At some point in the game, i took a break from the main quest and went treasure hunting. One of the far off quests is to talk to the dwarf guy and such. Anyways, i was there before all that questy stuff happend. I killed a bunch of the monsters, the guard, stole all the loot and came back with the main story like a month later. The bastard wouldnt talk to me and i could never do the quest. So in my rage, i killed him, raped his daughters, and pillaged his home.
one thing i hated about morrowind: there is no alternate. if a quest giver dies, your ****ed. hopefully in this game, if the quest giver dies you can morph off into a different path to get to through the main quests.
im so happy they decided to add fast travel. **** walking.

| I have it, it is a great game but it is no Morrowind. Looks great , plays great, but comapred to Morrowind... ****ing short as hell, Took me over something like a year of playtime to 100% (Yes I did) Morrowind (with xp packs)
Obliv after two weeks I was 100% full map quests all down etc etc.
But none the less I still rate Oblivion highly and think it is a great game. But very easy to find things with the map compass, I guess that's good for people who can't find things on their own.*

| Ive put about 15 hours into it, and Ive hardly done shit. Its a very interesting and time capturing game. Load times were blazing fast on my Raptor and I ran graphics on the highest they could go. Its a wonderful looking game.
I suggest to buy it if you feel like wasting an assload of time playing this fine, addictive game.
BTW, My specs are as follows:
3700+ AMD Proc
eVGA 7800 GT
1 Gig RAM
Raptor 10,000 HD.

| I played it and I see why some people like it, I jsut can't get into it. the combat system and the travel tiem walking with not much going on it gets really boring, plus my computer cant handle it too long. Games get to complex, and lose what really made the m fun. |
