| I have both. in terms of hardware, PSP takes it. in terms of software, DS is better.
Nothing beats advanced wars, or mario kart. |

| I would say PSP. I've heard there are some sick hacks for it, and as Pan said the hardware is better.
Haven't heard anything on the DS side of things.

| I'd go with the games, myself. The DS has a better selection, in my honest opinion. The PSP has maybe one game I want, so I'm not up to spending the $250. I'd rather wait for a price drop or two and quality control on the hardware. Sony has proven, once again, that they just don't have the ability to release a non-buggy system, first-try.
You've also got more million-plus selling games on the DS, two or three of them less than three months old. I'll give the PSP some time to develop a library, and I've no interest in it as a movie or music player. Afterall, I can do that, with few modifications, on my DS if I wanted to...and for a lower cost.
Anyway... I'll keep posted on news for both, anyway, so I'll know when the PSP has enough of an offering for me.

| I would have to go with the PSP. Cause really for some of the games on DS you have to use the pen for alot of games, so I herd.

| ...and, yet, to anyone who's actually tried it, it can feel quite natural. Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is just one example of how well they can impliment that stylus. It feels more like you're using a mouse to control some of the action on the screen.

| Very good and important points you have there, Bamthedoc, i completely agree with you. In having both handheld systems, i have noticed both of the things you quoted about them. PSP has the graphics, movies, and music, but there are still some glitches to be worked out. I agree hardily with what you said about the DS, magnificent, extensive games. So, for games go for DS, for extras+good games, PSP.

| Ds is awesome because it has games like mario kart, and when you link up and have multi player battles its l337, however when the psp gets some more games it will be good |

| I too have a Psp and a Ds but I find my self wanting to go back to my Ds just because of certan games like Advanced Wars Dual Strike or Splinter Cell while my psp just is kind of like my Mp3 player or portable theatre. So if your looking for "Fun" and ruggedness the Ds is ur best bet but if you want Big screen and more options you will want a Psp |

| Actually, the DS can do as much if not more than the PSP. You can use PassMe to load LinuxDS, allowing you to surf the net and load and play MP3s and Movies. It's about as unstable as LinuxPSP though

| I have both, but I must say, DS has a much higher "fun factor", PSP is great, but I think the DS has a bigger appeal to the actual gamer. A PSP is basically an "Entertainment Device", while the DS is strictly gaming.

| save yourself the money. Get a DS. if you really want a video player and music player, you could probably get a Zen M with the leftover money(screw apple)
in the long run, DS games will be cheaper(2 for the price of one i think...more if u get used) and i think the battery life lasts longer.

| It depends. With a PassMe, depending on which one you find and purchase, you can use just about any type of computer memory card (SecureDigital, CompactFlash, Memory Stick, et cetera). The least expensive of the bunch is CF, but SD has a higher capacity.
I've also heard that the new or a new DS coming out (unsure if it's the Lite or not) will be ready to play MP3s and movies straight out of the box, which means that empty DS and/or GBA cartridges might be sold for this purpose.
A lot of people forget that there's a small amount of space on either the PSP or DS that would allow for alternate OS to operate them. The PassMe, required for the DS to load LinuxDS and play MP3 and movies, costs anywhere from $50 to $70, after shipping. The PSP can use Firewire, so no additional cost there unless you break the one which comes with the PSP (one does come, right?). If you can find one, the DS ends up costing $180 to $200 or $250 after geting a 1Gb memory card.
There I've wasted a lot of time just talking about how much a PassMe will add to the cost of the DS. Of course, the PSP does have the advantage of not requiring an external device, but the DS still comes out a a lower cost with everything.
