memory

Im thinking of getting some more memory. currently i have (2)256 kingston dual channel (pc3200,184pin. unbuffered). and its running decently but I want to be able to play WoW and run a dedicated server,with winamp and blah

is this a good idea?

Why not stick with the same brand instead of mixing 2 brands?
It is cheaper too.

I heard good things about corsair, but for that price, im going with kingston.

I have a geil and a corsair and my geil blew up on me. So now i have only 512. I think im going to buy another corsair because, yes, they are good.

The reason probably was because the geil was trying to run at a faster speed then it should have been running at. Did it doing any damage to your motherboard?

I hope not. Everything was running really slooooow, so i reformatted and everything seems back to normal. I guess ill just have to wait and see.
