MY english teacher is sending a note home to my parents because i have a 78 average in his class. wtf? neone else get bad reports for doing nothing bad

nope, my school sends it only when you get a D or F (they are called progress reports, used to warn parents and get them to "motivate" you to improve, in other words scold you)

I guess your teacher cares and knows that you can do better, 78, thats nearly a B....

depending on which level of english (ap, honors, regular, english as second language), the difficulty varies... so emolite, sometimes english can indeed be a pain.

I have come to the conclusion English teachers are ****ed. they have no reason, like art teachers, there is no real correct answers to the course, it is all the biased viewpoints of the teacher. Math an equation is either right or wrong. English it is all about crap with symbolism and irony and the same bullshit, and a teacher loves to give some bullshit to fail kids they don't like while the kd who never shows up and kisses as gets 98% .

I've got a weird English teacher, too.

I can spend an entire night working on an essay based on the use of irony in Percy Bysshe Shelley's poetry and get a D+, yet when I take a poem about war and change some of the words to make it about love, I get a B. And it's an AP class, too. And he forgot to mention that I won TWO medals in the academic decathelon competition, not just one. The jerk. I think the guy's getting senile.
